Ma cha Allah,  think it this way sister, that you have been blessed by finding someone teaching you the true religion...Im sure it was hard to take lessons over phone....

I have the same problem as you, im the only person who takes lessons, i had fights with family with lots of tears...its not easy.

Lately i heard that there is a shiekh in your area ?

mâ shâ'a-llâh, i can understand how hard it must be at home, but alHamdu-lillâh its not hard for me now, although i did used to hide that i used to take lessons, but i didnt have to do that, i did it for the fear of them saying no, but alHamdu-lillâh they didnt say no, and now i attend alot of lessons.

how can i forget my first lesson. it was a general question and answer session with my shaykh n i used to ask alot of questions, subHana-llâh, until i started learning properly a week after those sessions. my shaykh noticed how i was interested in fiqh and he taught me that before the basic knowledge until i crawled back to him to be taught that. alhamdu-lillâh

we are very blessed to have the right creed, because these days it is not hard to be misguided with all these wahabiyys around all the time, they even have the own channel now where i come from, subHana-llâh
Allâh guide us all and keep us firm in our believes. 'âmîn

ameen ameen ya Rabb  :'(

Ah my first lesson, soubHan Allah i cant believe how things change!!! Well i went and shaykh was already teaching some pupils about ghusl and wuDu and so i started making notes aswell. Hehe the next lesson he made me read them out, and i was soooo embarassed   and so he kept saying to us there is no shyness in religion and the shy person wont learn. :-)  :-) :-) After that i attended all of his sessions-as many as was possible and slowly slowly started to learn more and more alHamdulillah.

May Allah bless our teachers and reward them

Alhamd lilllah ....Thanks God for everything...

I still have my first notes, i kept them till now...from looooong time ago....i miss those days..

Also, at the beginning, i used to hide my books in my way in and out, so my family wont know that i went to a lesson, i used to recite ayyat before entering my home to avoid problems with my family...

Subhan Allah, things are changed now, i have my own library now and i attend lessons as much as i can...

God bless you my shiekh

hmmm I rememer my first Islam lesson ...I was 14 I went to a camp for 2 weeks...
I felt very alone at the first days...but the lessons were very interesting.
we had  alot of subjects..like Fiqh ,Prophets peace be upon them ,islamic madeeh ...oh a lot...
I had no  teaching sheikh...I  had teachers studied the islam .
I remember the day were we had to woke up at 4 o clock moring...for praying al-fajr...we couldnt go sleeping after praying...but everyone felt in sleep after praying in the praying-room ...there was no teacher...I was one of the youngest  so I was too scared of my teacher :-D so I couldnt sleep as the only one person...
and as my teacher came back for looking after us..she opened the door and saw 29 people sleeping the 30. was me..she was yelling to everyone-without me-...and so I felt so proud on that day :-D
