In the Hanafi school

There are 6 pre-requisites of jumu^ah-shurūT:-
1° that it should be a borough with a main mosque
2° That it should be the time of Zuhr
3° A sultan or his representative. if people appoint an orator (khaTīb)   because there is neither of them nor anybody who replaces them, this is permissible because of the necessity
4° That there should be two speeches beforehand in this place, in the presence of a congregation (jamā^ah) through which the jumu^ah will be validated.
5° And that it should be prayed in congregation with them. The minimum number is three men apart from the imam according to 'Abū Hanīfah; two men apart from the imam according to 'Abū Yūsuf.

6° That there should be a general permission

The minimum of a speech is a long dhikr which is at least the same time as the tashahhud takes, according to the two companions. the imam said if he restricts himself to praising Allāh (alHamdu-lillāh) or the tahlīlah (lā ‘ilāha ‘illa-llāh) it is valid but makrūh.

And it is sunnah that the imām should make his speech
1°  in Arabic
2°  loud enough for people to hear it
3° standing
4° pure from the two events (Hadaths)  and from any impurity (najāsah)
5° That he should have his face turned towards people
6° And that he should sit between the two speeches

If he makes the speeches sitting, not being in a state of purity or if he does not sit between the two speeches or he turns his back to the people, in all these cases it is valid but makrūh.

7°  It is also sunnah to praise Allāh, to pray for the Prophet (Salla-llāhu^alyhi wasallam), to recite one 'āyah of the Qur'ān in the first speech; in the second speech: to repeat the praise and the prayer on the Prophet (Salla-llāhu^alyhi wasallam) as well as making du^ā for male and female believers and asking for forgiveness .

He should not separate the speeches from the Salāh by an unrelated long action
if he does so he must face qiblah otherwise he should appoint somebody else to lead the prayer.

Insha'Allah as a follow up to this i will post some information on following the imām, again according to the hanafi muktasar.....

Rules concerning following the imām

Whoever prays following an imaam in jumu^ah or others should: -
1) Not be in front of his imām
2) Listen to the recitation of his imām
3) Follow the imām in the moving pillars
4) The same applies to duties which the imām performs or leaves out if this entails making different movements from those of the imām. It is Harām to be in advance with regards to the imām by one moving pillar if he does not repeat it with him or after him and gives salām

continued.......

5) And it is a condition that he should know of the movements of his imām
6) That there should not be between the imām and the follower a big river or a public road used by wagons or cars and that there should not be a wall which would confuse him about the movements of the imām nor a full row of women.
That their prayers should be compatible for it is invalid for a person praying a farD to follow someone praying a different fard or a nafl. That the follower should make the intention of following from the very beginning of jumu^ah.
It is valid to pray behind somebody who is astray ((also it is disliked to do so))
as long as his bid^ah (innovation) hasn't lead him to kufr. And it is invalid behind a qadari or a mushabbih or the like ((qadari – group who believe our actions or our intentions are not created by Allāh)) ((mushabbih –group who compare Allāh with creations e.g. a wahabiyys))
