Music - if you mean by it stringed instruments like guitar and piano, wind instruments like flute and brass instruments like saxaphone are haraam.

Prophet MuHammad peace be upon him mentioned 'al-ma^aazif' in his Hadeeth as something forbidden.

The Prophet mentioned that ma^aazif is haraam.

That means all the stringed and brass & wood wind musical instruments.

We do not question the Rules of Islaam because we know that we are humans who do not know everything even about ourselves. We might think something is harmless when it is harmful or harmful when it is harmless. We rely on what was Revealed to us by Allaah & what the Messenger of Allaah conveyed.

yeah but i always have to have doubts beause i always am not sure how reliable that source is and did that really happened..i mean what Prophet said............. :oops: :oops: :'( :'( :'(

In SaHeeH al-Bukhaariyy, Hadeeth 5649:

The Prophet was heard saying what means: <<There will be people from my nation who will deem adultery, men wearing silk, alcohol and al-ma^aazif as permissible. >>

That is first from acquiring the knowledge of this Hadeeth from a trustworthy teacher and then seeking the written source.

A SaHeeH Hadeeth and a Hasan Hadeeth are both types of Hadeeths that can be relied upon in deducing judgements.

There are also weak Hadeeths which are not relied upon for determining whether something is haraam or halaal but are relied upon for doing optional rewardable deeds.

That does not mean that we go off on our own into the books of Hadeeths and try to understand by ourselves. Just like a person who wants to be a doctor, will be overwhelmed and confused without a teacher. So a student seeking Knowledge in the Religion must have a trustworthy teacher that will teach him or her step by step.
