abortion?

i was discussing about abortion with one of my professors the other day and we were talking about what different religons had to say about it.

i want to know what islam says about abortion? is it allowed? when and why?

what if the abortion had to take place because the girl had been raped?

i hope you will be able to help me with this! :)

Abortions are harram.If you absoulutley HAVE to get one then you should get one before you are 4months this is what islam says about it so that the baby wont feel anypain because when a mother is 4months the baby has its soul blown into it.I am against abortions  :x :xi absoulutley would NOT reccommend them.

ok i am against abortion but what if she was raped???
many women get abortion, and it can happen without kachif 3awra, like eating ginger a woman can loose the baby, after 4 months it is like killing a person, but if a woman has 4 children and she get pergnant and decided to got abortion i am against that!!!!! but sometimes there is situationsthat a girl must take a step and know the solutions she has better than doing something stupid like killing herself. ok!
But i am against it!!!!!!!!

If the girl was raped, she is not guilty of what happened to her and neither is the child, therefore there should not be a abortion when the soul has been blown into the child.  The child is born innocent.

 Yupp thats true.. Abortion can not be made if the soul is blown in the baby..and that is before (nearly) 4 month! After that--> No abortion, it would be killing someone and that is a big sin
