Otherwise, what makes it strange as such is that Qur'ân and Sunnah show clearly that people after the Judgement will either be in Paradise or in Hell, there aren't other destinations. If someone is not in Paradise, he will be found in Hell, how would the Prophet (salla-llâhu ^alayhi wasallam) want to be in the Fire when the Message he conveyed shows so clearly we need to be saved from it.

As for finding verses and hadîths on the events of the Day of Judgement they are fairly easy to find and receive from a reliable source, what is more they tend to be quite famous.
