What has a limit has a size and anything that has a size, is created by Allah. For example, the sun has a limit and a size and the Creator is the One who gave it that limit and size. The reason why? Something does not create itself as we have already proven in the first chapter. Therefore, Allah who creates and gives the creations its limits and its sizes, is not a size or a shape like them.
The Creator existed eternally, which means an existence without a beginning. Before Allah created any of His creations, there was nothing other than Allah existing. For example, there was no Heaven, no Hell, no skies, no earth, no space and no other places. Allah said in the Qur’an:
? åõæó ÇáÃóæøóáõ ) 3 ( ? ] ÓæÑÉ ÇáúÍóÏíÏ [
and from this verse, we take from its meaning: He is the first (Allah has always been existing without a beginning before any creation was created). This clearly proves that the Creator exists without a place. The reason why? It is impossible for the Creator to be in a place, after He created all the places! This is because after Allah created all the places, He did not change His existence. The Creator of all things does not change. To change is a sign of need and the Creator is not in need of anything, because He is the Creator of everything. Allah said in the Qur’an:
? ÝóÅöäøó Çááøóåó Ûóöäìøñ Úóäö ÇáúÚóÜáóãöíäó ) 97( ? ] ÓæÑÉ Âá ÚöãÑóÇä [
and from this verse, we take from its meaning: Allah is not in need of any of His creations.
