Well for ur question, u have to give more details about that falling in love thing. does it mean goin out with the guy? or u mean she just talked to him or hanged around with him for work or whatever, then she fell in love with him accidentally? there's nothing wrong in love. i hope we all muslims will love each other quite well.

As for the question in Islam a lot of things are considered minor sins but they may lead to major sins and some are not sins by themselves but only because they lead to sins they are considered sins.
of course you know adultary is a major sin
Looking at a member of the oppsite sex lustfully is a sin
looking at what considered in islam "^awra" (private part) is a sin
being alone in a place with a member of the opposite sex so that no one can see them is a sin
as you can see brother  if the "date" contains any of the above (there are also more)  then it's not allowed
as for falling in love this is something usually one has no controle over and it's not forbidden for this.
it's highly recommended that if this happens to someone he/she get married (to that one) ASAP to avoid any sin because one is weak at this point.
I have to remind myself and every body that a muslim must avoid all sins minor or major.
