Bismillah,

AlHamdulillah was-Salatu was-Salamu ^ala Rasulillah,

It is obligatory to perform each of these five prayers in its due time. It is better to perform each prayer early in its time. Only if one was a traveller then he may combine the prayers with conditions. There are some sayings for some scholars that permit combining the prayers, but not praying them before their times. But there are conditions that must be met. One must learn further to know the details.

*Note: In north America, the duration of Maghrib is usually for most cities is an 1 hour and 20 minutes; that is after wich ^isha' begins and Maghrib time ends.

Assalamu Alaikum
as Devoted said it's a fardh to perform prayers at their prescribed time. Allah says in the Qur'an (not sure what surah and verse) to pray prayer at its prescribed time.
down here in Australia most calendars say that isha is an hour and 20 minutes after maghrib, but i did a course in astronomy (from islamic perspective) and isha is NOT one hour 20 minutes after maghrib, but ONE hour 30 minutes after maghrib [we pray according to the sun movement.
if you went to a desert (ie somewhere outside the city where there's no light poluttion), and observed the sky and your surroundings, at one hour 20 minutes after maghrib you would be able to still see people around you, where at one hour 30 minutes it'd be pitch dark and THAT IS when isha starts - the teacher that taught us this astronomy course did studies with his previous classes and found this out]

it's silly really...why are people trying to find excuses to change Allah's Law??
we should say "We hear and we obey" that's it!!!
i dont understand how would praying isha one hour after maghrib make it easier for anyone? what's the difference between a man and a woman when it comes to prayer?
take care!!

Was Salaam
Murisa
