A Chinese Imam making a few mistakes in Arabic would not be seen as stupid since it's not his mother tongue. Correct. What we're dealing with here, however, is a case of somebody who English is their mother tongue and yet they still make such errors. Bad writing comes across to many people as showing ignorance. The two cases are not the same.

I had the impression that the one who asked the question is not and a native English speaker. So implying he apeared stupid by including the translated Hadith w/o seeing the gramatical error(which could be a typo-sabek yadd)   is what I called "rude"

However, I intended this strictly as a discussion between us - our own brothers and sisters - for the good of when we go and spread our beliefs to others.

This is a public forum my brother sending him a PM would have been better.

and I should hope that you do too. Are you not aware of how many arrogant idiots think that us Ahbach are people who lack in intelligence?

actually I think many people say that ahbash lack politness and courteousness. thats why I was stern about this issue my brother. if someone logged in TAI and saw this post he may say "look at how they treat each other, how would they treat other muslims? how would they treat new comers?" again I said I don't care what you meant because I'm sure your intentions were pure but please try to use kinder words.

You know what? You're right. Both of you are right.

I am sorry if what I said came across as rude. Sorry to Akeel.

I just really hate it when devious groups who think they are more knowledgeable than us look at us as if we are dumb. :(

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

Al hamdulillah

Some peoples misinterpret the Qudsiyy hadith related in Sahih al-Bukhariyy from the route of Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet said, Allah said:

Shaykh Abu ^Uthman al-Hiriyy[1] interpreted this hadith as:

The best thing the slave of Allah can do to become closer in obedience to Allah is to perform that which Allah made obligatory on him. After that, the person performs plenty of the optional acts of worship until he gains the love of Allah[2]. Once he is at that stage, his needs will be answered faster than the things that he hears, faster than the things he sees, faster than the actions he does with his hand, and faster than the walking he does with his legs; and if that person seeks refuge with Allah, Allah will protect him.

Abu Sulayman Al-Khattabiyy[3] explained that hadith to mean: "Such a person will be guided to use his body in what is acceptable to Allah, and his supplication will be answered quickly." Thus, if he uses his hand, he will be ghuided to use it in obediance to Allah; likewise, when he uses his ears, eyes, legs and other organs.

This is how some of the scholars of Islam interpreted this hadith, but some ignorants believes that Allah unites with the creations. So they misinterpret this hadith and say it means, "If Allah loves the slave then Allah becomes his hand, leg, ear, and eye." And this is clear blasphemy. Allah is not a body and has no form, no direction and no place, He does not reside in or outside of the universe or everywhere. Allah knows about and has control over all things everywhere. He exists without a place.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[1] Abu ^Uthman al-Hiriyy was a famous scholar who lived about 1000 years ago.

[2] Allah is clear of emotions. The "love of Allah" in this context refers to the acceptance and the support of Allah.

[3]Abu Sulayman Al-Khattabiyy was a famous scholar of hadith, fiqh, and the essentials of the Religion. He died in the fourth Hijriyy century.

I'm debatting on another Islamic forum on Awliyya's and their karamahs. Some people dont really believe in the karamas. They believe in "small ones" (i.e. like telling certain people to read certain dua's for their certain need) but not in the "big ones" (able to fly, take couple of steps and reach a certain destination)....

And I told the other guy that Allah says in a hadith Qudsi : (which means more or less) "... I love him so much (a servant) that I give him power in his body,..."  This is in large the definition of the hadith qudsi no.25 (the one I posted above)  but I want the exact hadith in enlgish because the other guy asked for the exact hadith.

Miracles (For Prophets) and Karamahs (For Waliy)
Miracles and Karamahs

The Miracle:

The miracle is an extraordinary act. It is not a usual event that happens in everyday life or to everyone. Miracles are only for prophets and are always in agreement with what they say. So, no one can do anything that is equal or similar to a miracle to discredit a prophet. Examples of miracles are: the flowing of water from between the fingers of Prophet Muhammad; and transforming the staff of Prophet Musa into a giant snake.

So a strange matter that is not extraordinary is not considered a miracle, such as the flying of an airplane. Also, an extraordinary matter that is not accompanied by a claim of Prophethood is not considered a miracle. Examples are the extraordinary matters that occur to highly righteous Muslims (Waliyys). These extraordinary matters are called Karamahs.

Also what an opposing party can imitate is not a miracle, such as magic, because it can be imitated by opposing magic.

The miracle is of two types:

One type occurs after the suggestion of the people whom the prophet is calling to Islam.

The other type occurs without the suggestion of the people.

An example of the first type is what happened with Prophet Salih, peace be upon him. Upon his people’s suggestion, he brought a camel and its child out of a rock.

An example of the second type is what happened to Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, when the tree trunk longed for him. Al-Bukhariyy related that the Prophet used to give the speech of Jumu^ah while leaning on a palm tree. One of the Ansar suggested: “O Prophet of Allah, why don’t we make a mimbar for you?” He said: “As you wish.” They built a mimbar for him. When it was the next Friday, the Prophet climbed onto the mimbar but the tree trunk started moaning, longing for him like a child. The Prophet came down and hugged it. This comforted the trunk.

Whenever he mentioned this miracle, Al-Hasan used to say: “O Muslim people, the wood longed for the Prophet because it missed him. You are more worthy of missing him.”

The Karamah: The karamah is an extraordinary matter that occurs on the hands of a Muslim waliyy who does all the obligations, refrains from all sins, and does many recommended matters. This is what differentiates the karamah from magic and tricks. A karamah occurred for our Lady Maryam, the mother of Prophet ^Isa (Jesus). Whenever Prophet Zakariyya (her sister’s husband) visited her, he would find that she had the fruit of the summer in the winter and the fruit of the winter in the summer.

Allah, ta^ala, said in the Qur’an:
???????? ?????? ????????? ?????????? ???????????? ?????? ???????? ??????? ????? ??? ???????? ?????? ???? ?????? ??????? ???? ???? ????? ??????
Kullama dakhala ^alayha Zakariyyal-mihraba wajada ^indaha rizqa. Qala ya Maryamu anna laki hadha qalat huwa min ^indillah.

Ayah 37 of Suratu Al ^Imran means: {Whenever Zakariyya entered the place where Maryam prayed, he would find fruit there [i.e., the summer fruits during the winter and vice versa]. He asked her how she got it. She replied that this was Allah’s endowment. Allah gives whomever He willed whatever quantity He willed.}

Subhanallah.
