Brief Book Review

as-Sirat al-Mustaqim by al-Muhaddith ^Abdullah al-Harariyy.

In a time of pervasive ignorance that spreads like wildfire, and a time in which supposed Muslims do not even understand basic matters of the religion (some even becoming full-fledged apostates), we are highly fortunate to have the likes of Sheikh ^Abdullah al-Harariyy in our midst. He is an individual who has spent most of his life warning against the deviations that have plagued this nation, and who has upheld the truth at whatever cost. Through him, thousands - rather, hundreds of thousands of people have been guided to knowing the essential rules and beliefs of the Islamic religion, and therefore to safety from the various types of blasphemy that are commonly fallen into.

This book, as-Sirat al-Mustaqim, is truly a masterpiece. It is primarily focused around explaining the creed of Islam, and refuting, step by step, each erroneous misconception that so many people in the modern era have fallen victim to. It is a highly elaborate book, rich and intricate in details, and embellished with quotations and proofs. After reading a section, one can't help but feel a great sense of satiety; all that one wished to know about the topic is expounded upon, and more.

I highly recommend this book to all modern students of Islamic knowledge.

NB The correct way to take any knowledge of the religion is by learning it directly from somebody with a chain (Isnad), and not simply by self-reading.

you should do istighfaar.....

you say every morning and evening 300 times Astaghfirullaahal_3 aDheema wa atoobou ilayh

and do your Salat Ibraaheemiyyah every day twice, morning and evening, 3 times.

We really do need encouragement.  We really need to work on ourselves. How can we do this when we're far away from home, and there's no one to help? Make du^a2 for us.

May Allah Grant the pious people the blessing of seeing the Prophet ^alayhis-salaam in their dreams insha' Allah.

Dear Advisor and Ladyrain, say this du^aa' a lot:

"As-salaamu ^alayka ayuhannabiyyu wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. Allahumma salli ^ala Muhammadin-in-Nabiyyiy wa azwaajihi umahaatil-mu'mineen, wa thuriyatihi wa ahli baytihi kama sallayta ^ala aali Ibrahim. Innaka Hameedum-Majiid."

If anyone has the du^aa' in Arabic script, post it as well insha' Allah.

Remember to get the correct pronunciation from someone.

Barak Allahu feekom.

:)
