SOmething that worries me a lot
« on: Thursday 05 February 2004, 02:06 »
Why are so many people in the US having a forum where they answer questions without any knowledge? and if you get them the proof that they're wrong they block you out. And they have no proof of their own, and they invent and say things the prophet didn't teach us. and they use PBUH and SWAT instead of saying the whole words, and I saw one today who wants to give judgments that are against Islamic teachings, claiming "the change of times", and "preventing family breakups" he wants to tell a new convert to stay with her christian husband because he claims, falsly, that scholars are getting new judgments that are adequate to the times we live in wa al3yathou billah minhou. he's also talking bad about the wife of the Pharaoh (if anyone knows her story please post it I need details)
What to do when you see such a forum? I can't physically answer every post, and I can't sleep knowing I left an ignorant teach new converts incorrect things. If I saw him I would really want to harm him physically.
if you browse the internet these days you'll see things that will break your heart or make your blood boil.
It's so depressing...
Alhamdulillah we have AICP and talkaboutislam and forumislam and the like. Or else where would we go?

Welcome to TAI brother Ihab.
I agree that browsing the internet these days, especially those websites pretending to be islamic, is a deeeepressing experience.
i encountered this myself once. and i wrote about it in TAI. Here's the link:

best you can do is to invite as many people that you are comin across as you can to join our forums.
and a supplication please to everyone (especially those having good knowledge) to be patient and nice with the new members, as the prophet Mohammad (sallalahu ^3alayhi wa sallam) taught us to be.
