Also joining the forum seems to take forever. With most forums you sign up get an email reply to it and BANG you are away.

We did have some temporary problems last week with server load, but we are fine now.  I am almost receiving an email notification about your replies a few seconds after your posting time. I believe we are fine on this point, right ?

I actually signed up as a different user this time coz I forgot my password (I remembered it later) and I got the email and clicked the link and was told my account would be activated  - but it hasn't been activated yet. Fortuanetely I remembered my old password - otherwise I would have just moved on. If others have had this experience then you have probably lost plenty of potential members.

We always answer any questions we receive from members and guests alike at any time.

but as you are suggesting ways to improve the site, I would allow this exception:

my RAM. I am having serious problems with my DDR2 RAM and have had many reboots.

I sometimes do the error of deleting an email notice simply after opening the link to the new reply in a new tab in firefox.

i belive brother Abdullah tried to make it as attractive as possible and beautiful.
the only problem i see is the time it loads, and the speed is low.
