Assalamu alaykum Sister True Muslim


I read the post by Sweetheart. Its sooooo powerful in its message and she has captured the emotion tightly.

I think what makes it heart felt is that it is a true story. Subhan allah may Allah give the mother and family patience in their ordeal.

Allah says in the quran: Ayah 45 in surat Fussilat: wa ma ulaqaaha illalatheena sabaru wa ma ulaqaaha illa thu 7athin 3atheem.
This is about Paradise. A special status in paradise is granted to those who are patient and those who are patient are indeed endowed with a great virtue from Allah. Not everyone has that kind of patience which is to be tolerant and fully in control of your emotions as the calamity maked its first impact upon you.

Scholars have said that the praised patience is that which shows 3indal-museebal-2oula. The first impact. It is not patience to first tear your hair and exhaust yourself with tantroms when the calamity hits you, then laying low and quiet after you have exhausted your energies and can do no more.

May allah reward that mother for her patience and enable us to have such control when calamities hit us too. Ameen.
