The plight of women in Pakistan
« on: Monday 29 September 2003, 09:51 »
Sunniyys do not have the extremist views. Also, that a minority of the overall population of muslims go against the sunniyy teachings, which are about moderation and truth.
Pakistan and the government there, which is a very different thing to the true teachings of islaam and the sunniyy muslims.
It is important to note that, Pakistan is not implementing the teachings of islaam at a political level. Also it is not promoting the teachings of the sunniyys. Moreover, a lot of the problems that occur are from minority heretical groups.

Jihadjay...
how are you doing? hopefully well...
brother... there is a certain limit of unfairness in what you mentioned in your post i find. First, if a muslim commits a crime, then the crime is to be associated to him not to the religion of islam... when u say that such acts are affirmed by the islamic judge and such.. for us, muslims, this still means nothing. If a priest is gay or commits adultry or even rapes someone... does that make his action part of the chritian religion? only insane people would say so. A crime is a crime neglecting who committed it. But how do you know what is a crime and wrong and what isn't...? The holy Qur'an.. the revelation of God. and to you it is the Holy Bible. U see what i mean?
there is a very important thing that you have missed too... it's not muslims laws that are applied nor is it islamic law that is being applied there neither is it the sunni muslims and all that. Many of those acts you mentioned in your post are somewhat related to cultures not islamic rules. If u want to know what islam has to say about those crimes committed that you mentioned.. i'll gladely say to you what i know of. Islam is represented by its holy Book, and the teaching of our prophet muhammad peace be upon him. But the actions of people is no representation of the true islamic belief Jihadjay. plz remember this.

So what are the crimes you mentioned? murder? and rape?
In islam, the one who commits murder without a valid reason, then he should be killed.
Rape.. according to what i know.. falls under the category of Hiraba (causing mischief on earth) as some scholars i nkow classified it... and the punishment to this is EXILE, Crucifiction, or death punishment.
The woman who's raped is a victime not a criminal and no punishment falls upon her.
peace.
