Salam true salafi.. thanks for trying to help. But still.. that didn't really answer me. I got a chance to ask a sheikh about this though. and i'm looking for more sheikhs that i can ask face to face. But the examples you gave and the question discussed here... are rather far away from each others. U mentioned example of situations that are somewhat happening under abnormal conditions. Where the unlawful could become lawful at times. u know what i mean? u know like in a certain cases a muslim for instance is allowed to eat pork and drink khamr if the situation was so crucial that he had no choice out but to do so... but that won't make it an allowed thing to do all the time in all cases. i don't know if see what i'm getting at. and for this i asked for the prove from qur'an and sunnah.. simply.
anyhow.. thanks alot... the matter is in my head... i did get an answer from a sheikh about it.. and i'm looking for more scholars though.. from different school of thoughts... just to see what each one says. for this i'm asking u here... if providing me with the prove to it is possible.. from qur'an and sunnah.. then plz do so.
salam.

And Salam to you too Puma

The situations I gave above were just examples aimed at telling you that there are exceptions to some rules. Now it all depends on knowing these exceptions. Some scholars might state more exceptions than others.

Now the normal situation for a woman wanting to go to hajj would be to find a suitable Mahram to go with her. So not finding a Mahram is an abnormal situation. Some scholars (namely Shafii) said that she could go alone if for the first hajj, the compulsory one. He said that because there was a similar situation that happened in the days of the prophet when the Hijra (migration) from Makkah to Madina was compulsory on every muslim man and woman. A muslim woman traveled from Makkah to Madinah ALONE, and on the way she became thirsty and almost died but then a Bucket full of water appeared in the sky and descended on her so she drank and continued her travel until she reached Madinah. So this scholar took from that story that a woman can travel alone if for the compulsary Hajj.

The woman's name was Barakah bint thaalabah (Om Ayman al Habashiyyah)

Hope this helps.

...There is another kind of ability, unrelated to one's physical ability. This is the woman finding a maHram to accompany her to Hajj.

If she can not find such a maHram....then she may go with 3 trustworthy women...If such 3 were not available, then with 2 of them; if not, then one is enough. If she does not find even 1, then she is allowed to go alone.
