Hmm, now  I'm no psychologist, but it sure sounds like part of your loneliness is the result of losing this friend, and maybe also realizing that he wasn't much of a friend after all. :?

My son has the same problem with one of his friends. This boy is really nice (occasionally) and wants my son's friendship when it suits him. Then, he will get together with some other boys and he chooses sides and is no longer my son's friend for a few days. Then, after a while, he wants to be friends again. It's really hard for my son to understand this fickle person.

I tell him that he just has to realize that this boy is not a true friend, and that he should not allow himself to be hurt by him. And, I also point out that there are many other kids out there who would be much better and really true friends, but, he has to go out there and find those friends.

If you are lonely, you need to reach out to others. Make friends, as I tell my son, they won't always come to you.....

Hey i think this topic relates to me a bit.I always feel lonely because i am far away from my loved ones that i really love,respest and care about.Al hamdulillah i have patience,and al hamdulillah that there is msn so i can talk to them   .
