Pumarrage...

The Qur'an which is the speech of Allah, i.e.,His eternal everlasting attribute is not created.

However, the letters and words who are in the mus7af are created, I'm sure we agree on this. The letters like the ba', sin, mim in bismillah are created, the language is created....

The eternal everlasting speech of Allah is called Qur'an, is not created... The letters and words like bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim/ 'Alif lam mim.... those letters are created, and we say about them Qur'an too.

So, if you meant by "Qur'an" the speech of Allah, which is His attribute, then it's not created, and if you menat by it the letters and words, then it's created.

May I check something here? It occurred to me that it is Allah Who wills for His creation to rise; and Allah is not subject to the will of any other because of what is said of Allah in Surah Baqara "wa Allahu `ala kulli shay'in qadir"
-Abbie

Quote from: MuKassir
the deviant wahabies say that Allah [arose] over the thrown [Al-arsh]. But the word [Istawa] has more than 15 meaning,so they dont know the real meaning. Allah does NOT resemble the creation, so it is Impossible for him to Rise,Rise is something that happenes to something with shape Allah does NOT resemble the creation. So it is obvios that it is impossible for him to arise {}May Allah guide those who think this not using there minds idea{} They do the same thing with others ,so if you ever hear someone say something about Allah that resembles the creation you know to push that out of your mind, Wahabies are some of the people who have this [Zayg] a sickness mentioned in the Quran.they always go after the Mutishab ayat saying'what does it mean' seeking trouble, some of the scholors told us what the ayat did not mean but they usually did not tell us what it ment.So now you know what to do when you see ing some one saying stuff about Allah that resembles the creation you tell him Allah does not resemble creation. For more infomation go to this site

http://www.aicp.org/IslamicInformation/English/TheAyatoftheQur%27an.htm     there is good info there

language is also created, yes?
I feel as if I am trying to think about something mystical - When we recite the Qur'an, the sounds that come from our mouths are also created, right? When we say"the speech of Allah" are we referring to the Qur'an as it descended on/was revealed to Prophet Muhammad?

You can reffer to the verses and words as "The speech of Allah", and you can reffer to His attribute which is not a language or sound as "The speech of Allah"
