Dear Mom

Oh Sumayya:
That is such a typical reaction of parents: and, we know it's wrong! Last week my son decided to hop on some rocks at the shore. Well, he was also carrying a can of soda, wearing slippery shoes and keeping the other hand in his pocket. You can just guess what happened: he fell right into the water, hitting his knee, his elbow and his forehead on several rocks. Did my husband comfort him, ask him if he was okay? Nope! He chewed him out.

I tried to repair the damage and helped him change his clothes and asked him if he was alright.     I tried not to be judgemental.

If it's any consolation: I'm sure your mother really loved you as a child, but sometimes parents feel like all of their advice and instructions is ignored. And, then, they get frustrated. I have also seen other parents scream at their children after their children have had an accident. I just know that if those parents could do it over again, they would do it differently. I bet if your mother had a second chance, she would not do that again.
Perhaps now that you are older, you can talk about some of these things with her?

Thank you guys, I'm glad you like my story...
I'm not mad at mom now because of what she did, and I know she loves me, I just find it very weird, usually moms freek out when the see their babies hurt, mom is surely not like that ;)
