A simple but thoughtful man
« on: Sunday 23 December 2001, 10:16 »
A simple but thoughtful man was stepping aboard a train one day when one of his shoes    slipped off and landed on the track. He was unable to retrieve it as the train was moving. To the amazement of his companions, the man calmly took off his other shoe and threw it back along the track to land close to the first. Asked by a fellow passenger why he did so, he smiled. "The poor man who finds the shoes lying on the track," he replied, "will now have a pair he can use."

Assalaamu Alaikum Ya Sunshine!!!

I sent or rather TRIED to send you a posted reply to I LOVE him so much yesterday, but there was something wrong with the server i think.

the SIMPLE man, that you wrote about... you know who he is?? It was Mahatma Gandhi, from India.

Mahatma means "GREAT SOUL" in my language, ( well not really MY native language, but i speak it sometimes.. ) ... now what do you think abt THAT? I mean the GREAT SOUL?

Can a man be truly a GREAT SOUL?

Mahatma Ghandi never wore shoes when he came back from Africa....

they were sandals... i guess... the word is out that he wears clothes out of cloth he spun himself... and THAT was to prove a point.
