A still Mobile ???
« on: Friday 21 December 2001, 22:49 »
Hello my dear friends ;)
THis is none other than LITTLE ME reporting to u live from the studio's of TALKABOUTISLAM.com

In today's report  on the world around us we'll be discussing the good's and bad's of your not so humble mobile phone. DO u have one? or should the question be " why dont u have one?"

HOME IS WHERE THE PHONE IS ;)

Despite all odds, mobile phones are set to penetrate 100% of the population, take it or take it.

The mobile phone: 'your link to other people, entertainment and information, whenever and wherever you want it', it's becoming… [our] personal trusted device', say the promoters of Nokia. Who's to dispute this claim except to point out the absence of the word 'fast' in their advertisement. Yet ironically we can't live with it and we can't move without it.

Six million people in Australia own a mobile phone, the second largest penetration in the world. That figure will more than double in the next five years, forecast industry experts. Not surprising. Just months Telstra  announced that half its present revenue was due to the mobile phone sector. The Telecommunication industry has so far counted 45% (8.5million) of Australians having a SIM card topping the recorded 30% in 1996 by 15% in 1999 and climbing. If that's nail biting news, then ponder on the prediction that penetration of mobile phone devices may later soar to 100%.  'We're living in a fascinating era' say industry experts.

What do u think about that??? WHat are the statistics of cellular phone penetration in your country????

DO U have a cellular?? How does it effect you??? Can u live without it?? Let us know :l2m :l2m

And while your doing that remember to think sweet thoughts and keep :bl1

ma shaa Allah sis , that's a very interesting article , now mobiles became very important in some people's life, though i do think that the mobile promoters are exagerating when talking about how essential mobiles are.

I think that it's about how much the mobile owner consider that his phone is important, some people become very attached to their mobile, others refuse to let a machine make a big part of thir life, and that's why i still find some people, very few people, who are still refusing to get a mobile although they can afford it .

I have a mobile my self, i can live without it but i think that i need it for many things and some of these things are important, it's not just for chit-chat, i relly find it weird how some people spend big money on the mobile just to talk without benefetting from it...........

I do not have a mobile phone.
i hardly need it anyway. I have phones at work and at home and my work is less than half an hour far from home. my brother have one because his work require it.
in the last 4 years mobiles became a fever in Egypt. everyone have mobiles. some people give it to their children in the primary school and maybe in the nursery. :twt1  :no2
i believe it affected the economic of our country and caused stagnacy as it attracted all the money in the country.
it is a good thing for the people who really need it.
