Sharia - is it a personal way of life, or the iron fist of g
« on: Wednesday 09 April 2003, 13:31 »
How are we supposed to look at Sharia? Some Muslims have told me that it is the "Law of Life" that you should follow, but governments should not enforce it.

Others have said that Sharia should be enforced by law.

Which is correct?

Asalamualaikum,
I think  :bro1 that Shariah refers to the Islamic legal tradition, and is called Islamic Law and it applies to evry aspect of a Muslim's life.

We are required to follow the Islamic Shariah and it is essential that muslim states implement Islamic Shariah and use it as a foundation to refer to for law and legalisation.

Shari^a is the Islamic law

It's among our shari^a to belief and pray and fast and do the obligations and avoid the forbidden things.

Every Muslim should follow the rules of Islam =>shari^a.

Some of judgments were enforced by law when we used to have a Khalifa, but now we don't as you know.
