Also:

The author of the famous Hambaliyy book al-KhiSaal related that Imaam AHmad Ibn Hambal judged as a blasphemer the person who says, "Allaah is a body, not like other bodies."

I don't understand why somebody could mistake this forum for a Shi'ah forum. We don't share in the misguidance of the mainstream Shi'ah in any shape nor form. Just because we tell the FULL story about Mu'awiyah (and don't qad yuqal "conveniently" leave out any details) does NOT make us Shi'ah.

Well personally I believe its because of the whole Saudi (sunni country) vs. Iran (shia country) thing. Mostly shias hate the Saudi government and talk about Wahabbism openly. The sunni community is silent because of either ignorance or the Saudis call themselves sunni and have loads of $$$ so people accept them as "defenders of true Islam." Alhamdullilah AICP is one of the few large sunni associations left that isn't bending its beliefs for dirty Saudi money. I remember when the wahabbis started paying mosques in my town to start praying Northeast. And now they say AICP is misguided and trying to change the direction people in America always prayed!  :? Ya Allah how short peoples memories are! They changed the direction in my town to northeast less than 13 years ago!  You can go to the old Islamic graveyards in America and see for yourself what direction the old Muslims are buried in! These Wahabbis are terrible  :x

Assalam-alaykum brothers and sisters in islam.

well,i just want to give my answer for the question of this post.
brother, this is neither a shia nor wahhabi forum..
i just found out about this forum through this link:(check it out!)

http://www.whyislam.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?tid=5001

so this is clearly a  HABASHI forum..i'm not saying all of the members here is habashi followers..perhaps,many of them.
i myself have attended some aqeeda lessons in moscow(tho i'm not a muscovite) whom the instructor apparently is of habashi followers.
Alhamdulillah, after a while i just realized something fishy is going on..coz there are a lot of new facts that i've never heard and never thought  before(even i've been attended in an islamic school since i was 7 years old of age..now i'm 20), like
"qur'an is not really the words of God..is actually divided into 2 parts" and so on...you may know it better than i am.
by the way,we should not really think about what language does Allah use, or Allah does not use any of languages at all.
i seriously dont think we should arguing on this or think about something beyond our human believer knowledge and wisdom.
Lets just accept that Qur'an is words of God.Its from God.A guide to us believers.period.

Once me and my friends were invited to our Lubnan instructor's house for lunch..then we chatted and he mentioned that syed qutb is kuffar!,yeah, as easy as that~..and he also said that he does not support extremism,terrorism...yeah for that i agree as a true believer
of Islam...but to say that Muslim Brotherhood aka Ikhwanul Muslimin is extremist party,i dont think so.

how can someone said other muslim brothers, like syed qutb and ibnu tamiyyah..kuffar!!,that easy?
if i said that shaykh abdullah al-harari is a kuffar, would habashi followers be mad at me?..or gonna kill me or something?..
i know he is too precious to his supporters.
no,i will never say such thing that he is a kuffar...or this muslim brother is kuffar, she(muslim sister) is kuffar...please brothers and sisters do stop this.stop kuffar-ing our brothers and sisters in islam.Only Allah knows best about the iman of His slaves.

and considering to visit the waliy, ulama' graves,or Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) tomb..to get their blessings or maybe kiss the tomb..to get super blessing...i dont think this is necessary.
yes,we can surely visit, but to get their blessing?...how is that?they were dead.
get the dead's blessings?....i dont see any relevance in that...do prophet Muhammad tought us that?..do Allah said that in the Holy Qur'an?
NO.
we can actually make duas straight to Allah.straight from your room..in the car..everywhere.eas y-peasy!

Wallahualam.Allah knows best.
May Allah guides us along the straight path to his jannah.
i'm neither wahabi nor habashi...i'm not supporting any and hopefully i'm a true sunni.
still for the sake of Allah,i love all my brothers and sisters in Islam.even if he is a wahabi, habashi, shi'a etc.
may these followers come back to the straight path, just as i have did,a couple of days ago. ;D
amiiin.

I am completely new to this and trying to learn the truth.  This has led me to Quran, and to this site for help.

Could some one explain the difference between the Sunna and Shia?

Thank you
Dan

Originally in Shahabat (people and follower of prophet Muhammad saw living era), Shia is a political sect/movement that has argument of Ali bin Abu Thalib ra (Prophet Muhammad saw son-in-law) descendent that should (strongly) taking the responsibility as Muslim leader. As Sunni said, every one may have the position.

nowdays, both Sunni and Shia has grew to a varius of sect. Some sect are still Islam rightly, other has out of Islam by interpreting the teaching and verse wrongly.
