Contraceptives in Islam
« on: Wednesday 26 February 2003, 06:35 »
Assalaamualaykum Sisters,

What is the verdict for a woman in Islam to be using a contraceptive? Please elaborate.

Is it permissable to be using a contraceptive for family planning?

Shukran.

first of all i wanna welcome you back in this Forum , may i remind you and myself to have the sincere intention for the sake of Allah ta^ala

I asked to my teachers wife about this issue, and she told me that she may use it like.

However, i'll never permit my futur wife to use it because it has many bad effect later for exemple

The whomb can be damaged
she can have cancer
the futur babies can have deseas with that
and she can change her state from small to  not small

It would be more gentle when the men take precautions

wallahu ^alam

Sister Tasneem

I see that Muhammad answered you, but I'll add one more thing,

as he said, woman can use contraceptives to prevent pregrency for a certain time,

however, she is NOT allowed to do sthg that prevent her from getting pregnent for the rest of her life.

If you have another question concerning this plz post it and we'll get the answer in shaa Allah, this way we are all learning new things walhamdulillah.

I'm a Servant of Islam.

you are rather a wonderful servant of islam.

Brothers and sisters, the effort done by excellent people such as sister Servant of Islam and all of our blessed moderators calling from Lebanon or elsewhere where they have a small connection is at least many many folds the effort I would do in order to do the same work. Why? Simply, because while I have mashaa Allah 512kb cable all for myself, our dear respected and admired sister of islam Servant of Islam could barely have a half-working 56k modem connection.....

Cable in Lebanon is even Slower than modem....

may Allah bless your hands and heart and eyes ya Servant...

May Allah bless all those you love and care for....

May Allah not leave sick any one single person in your family.

What you are doing is an excellent job......  you are in the footseps of the prophet Mouhammad..... can you still ask for more???

May Allah bless TalkAboutIslam that opened this door for you, for me, and for all of our beloved moderators.....
