Nike put on shoes and things a flaming logo of the word "air" that looked similar to the Arabic for "Allah".  The foot is not seen as an appropriate place for the name of God.  Caligraphy varies, sometimes looking like "aill" or "uul".  Arabic is 'backwards', so the 'al' sound is actually on the right.  See for yourself.  (I picked one that looked closest.)

Well still, it was removed because it DOES look like the name of The Almighty even if it is NOT and thats where the inspiration of the designer who did this came from but it is ABSOLUTELY wrong! :no2

Similiar to the brand of clothes in the UK called FCUK, its quite obvious what the designers mean by the name...

With the shoes thing, I think you are seeing sinister intent in what appears to be ignorance.

I heard, years ago, the oil company EXXON used supercomputer time to search all the languages on earth and it took them months before they settled on their name and it had to be spelled with two X's to be sure NOT to be a foul word in someone's language.  As for the clothing, I can plead ignorance on my part, I have never seen or heard of the company.

I think people are too thin-skinned and take offense in too many things.  People need to relax and let others live their lives and make a few mistakes along the way.  If someone does something you would not do, realize that all of us have somewhere that we are not complete.  That is why man needs redemption, not for God's benefit, but for man's.
