What is the exact meaning of Hijab? First I've been reading it is the veil a woman wears, then that it also is some curtain; and finally I've found the explanation that it is some kind of amulet. So: is there any difference in writing it?

Yes, Hijab means some kind of separation or barrier...


when talking for example about men and women being in the same room with a curtain in between, you can call this Hijab...

but you could also call the veil that a woman wears as Hijab too.....

Some people take a piece of paper, write a few verses of Koran in it, and then wrap that paper and carry it in a necklace....  and they also call this Hijab, as they hope this would be a "Hijab" for them from the devil Jinns..
