Death
« on: Sunday 26 January 2003, 02:25 »
I was taught to believe if I was worthy, at the time of the great fire I would be raised, and be judged for my actions during my life. Otherwise my existance was ended.

What is the true version ?

Venom,

The truth is that the Koran teaches….. not personal opinions or old stories we heard from our grannies…

Let us see what the Koran says about this issue that many are even scared to name: DEATH

First you should know that death is under the order of Allah. If Allah willed for a person to die, no matter what protection he or she has, he or she would die…. Be certain of that.

Allah Is The One That Gives Life and Death:
Allah has praised Himself in the Koran that He is The One That Gives Life and Death.

« Reply #2 on: Monday 27 January 2003, 01:03 »
Allah is The One Who Created Life and Death. Giving Life and Death belongs to Allah.

Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving,

AND

Is not He Able to bring the dead to life?

AND

And of His portents: that thou seest the earth lowly, but when We send down water thereon it thrilleth and groweth. Lo! He Who quickeneth it is verily the Quickener of the Dead. Lo! He is Able to do all things.

He quickeneth the dead, and He is The All Mighty

AND

Allah giveth life and causeth death; and Allah is Seer of what ye do.

AND

Is not He Able to bring the dead to life?

AND

Say: O mankind! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah to you all - Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. There is no Allah save Him. He quickeneth and He giveth death. So believe in Allah and His messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, who believeth in Allah and in His Words, and follow him that haply ye may be led aright.

AND

Have they not seen that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and was not wearied by their creation, is Able to give life to the dead? Aye, He verily is Able to do all things.

AND

Lo! Allah! Unto Him belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. He quickeneth and He giveth death.

AND

Say: Who provideth for you from the sky and the earth, or Who owneth hearing and sight; and Who bringeth forth the living from the dead and bringeth forth the dead from the living; and Who directeth the course? They will say: Allah. Then say: Will ye not then keep your duty?

AND

He quickeneth and giveth death, and unto Him ye will be returned.

AND

That is because Allah, He is the Truth and because He quickeneth the dead, and because He is Able to do all things;

AND

He bringeth forth the living from the dead, and He bringeth forth the dead from the living, and He reviveth the earth after her death. And even so will ye be brought forth.

AND

Look, therefore, at the prints of Allah's mercy: how He quickeneth the earth after her death. Lo! He verily is the Quickener of the Dead, and He is Able to do all things.

AND

Lo! We it is Who bring the dead to life. We record that which they send before (them, and their footprints. And all things We have kept in a clear Register.

Only Allah gives Life and Death:
« Reply #3 on: Monday 27 January 2003, 01:04 »
Only Allah gives Life and Death:
Even Allah has made it very clear that a proof on the devious doctrine of those that take Idols to worship and do not worship Allah, the fact that those idols can not give life or death ….

Yet they choose beside Him other gods who create naught but are themselves created, and possess not hurt nor profit for themselves, and possess not death nor life, nor power to raise the dead.

Some people in history claimed they give life and death…  The prophet Ibrahim showed how untrue that was. Read with me:

Bethink thee of him who had an argument with Abraham about his Lord, because Allah had given him the kingdom; how, when Abraham said: My Lord is He Who giveth life and causeth death, he answered: I give life and cause death. Abraham said: Lo! Allah causeth the sun to rise in the East, so do thou cause it to come up from the West. Thus was the disbeliever abashed.

Jesus could raise the dead
« Reply #4 on: Monday 27 January 2003, 01:04 »
Jesus could raise the dead
Allah gave miracles to the blessed prophet Jesus (Isa) by which Jesus could raise the dead ......  Allah made it CLEAR in the Koran that this raising was with Allah’s Permission Only. Read it:

When Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favour unto thee and unto thy mother; how I strengthened thee with the holy Spirit, so that thou spakest unto mankind in the cradle as in maturity; and how I taught thee the Scripture and Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and how thou didst shape of clay as it were the likeness of a bird by My permission, and didst blow upon it and it was a bird by My permission, and thou didst heal him who was born blind and the leper by My permission; and how thou didst raise the dead by My permission; and how I restrained the Children of Israel from
thee when thou camest unto them with clear proofs, and those of them who disbelieved exclaimed: This is naught else than mere magic;

And when Jesus himself talked about this “raising” of the dead, he clearly showed that this was ONLY by the Permission of Allah:

And will make him a messenger unto the Children of Israel: Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird, by Allah's leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah's leave. And I announce unto you what ye eat and what ye store up in your houses. Lo! herein verily is a portent for you, if ye are to be believers.

The Prophet Abraham was Certain of The Might of Allah,
« Reply #5 on: Monday 27 January 2003, 01:05 »
The Prophet Abraham was Certain of The Might of Allah,
but still, he asked to see how Allah gives life after death …  just so that his heart would be at ease…

And when Abraham said: My Lord! Show me how Thou givest life to the dead, He said: Dost thou not believe? Abraham said: Yea, but in order that my heart may be at ease.

Death is under The Might and Will  of Allah ….

We mete out death among you, and We are not to be outrun,

No one can protect you from death.
« Reply #6 on: Monday 27 January 2003, 01:05 »
No one can protect you from death.
Nothing could even delay you a second. Allah says:

Wheresoever ye may be, death will overtake you, even though ye were in lofty towers.

No one, whosoever, will die before or after the moment at which Allah has decided he or she would die….

No one can ever die except by Allah's permission and at a term appointed.

You won’t be able to escape death …
« Reply #7 on: Monday 27 January 2003, 01:05 »
You won’t be able to escape death …
Read:

Say: Lo! the death from which ye shrink will surely meet you, and afterward ye will be returned unto the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, and He will tell you what ye used to do.

And see with me that the dying unbeliever, once he or she has seen the angel of death, would wish he or she could come back to this life to believe and do his or her duty towards Islam.

Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back,

The great angel Azraeel
« Reply #8 on: Monday 27 January 2003, 01:06 »
The great angel Azraeel
The great angel Azraeel has the mission of taking the soul of the dying person …..

Allah says:

Say: The angel of death, who hath charge concerning you, will gather you, and afterward unto your Lord ye will be returned.

Once it is your turn or mine, nothing will help….. we will face death:

Say: Flight will not avail you if ye flee from death or killing, and then ye dwell in comfort but a little while.

The angels that take the soul of the dying person from this blessed angel (azraeel) have clearly been called “the messengers” of Allah:

He is the Omnipotent over His slaves. He sendeth guardians over you until, when death cometh unto one of you, Our messengers receive him, and they neglect not.

Do Good Before You Die….
« Reply #9 on: Monday 27 January 2003, 01:06 »
Do Good Before You Die….
Allah has strongly encouraged us to do the good BEFORE death …. for when death comes, it is too late….

And spend of that wherewith We have provided you before death cometh unto one of you and he saith: My Lord! If only thou wouldst reprieve me for a little while, then I would give alms and be among the righteous.

After seeing the angel of death, one can not repent or become muslim, for then, it is too late…..  Allah says:

The forgiveness is not for those who do ill-deeds until, when death attendeth upon one of them, he saith: Lo! I repent now; nor yet for those who die while they are disbelievers. For such We have prepared a painful doom.

Let me also re-iterate this:  the dying unbeliever, once he or she has seen the angel of death, would wish he or she could come back to this life to believe and do his or her duty towards Islam.

Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back,
