Romanized Arabic
« on: Sunday 19 January 2003, 04:35 »
Greetings!  I have been corresponding with some moderators on TAI and there have been times when Quranic scriptures have been referenced to try to explain concepts to me. Now these references come to me in some form of romanized arabic(?) which is basically meaningless to me, and I would like to know if there is a program I can download from some where that can put these verses in arabic script. Is this possible? I can't read them now, but at least I'll have them for when I can. Thanks :utp1

Hey albert :s1
I don't know if this might help, but you might want to try changing the settings in your web browser.
If you're using IE, click on View, go to Encoding and select Arabic (Windows), it should enable you to read Arabic characters instead of the characters you're getting now. It shouldn't affect other things (unless you have it set to read Chinese characters for example).
Hope that helps.
