Views on: Muslims to join British Armed Forces

Salam to all my brothers and sisters! I am a newbie so please bear with me

I am 14 years old and i live in London UK, basically i wish to apply to join the RAF (Royal Air Force) but my dad does not wish me to do so :'(

My father does not want me to jon as i will be fighting against Muslim countries and then maybe bombing them but cant i figth for Britain as a Muslim? Could you please help me with some Qur'anic verses which will make me persuade my father

Is there anything in the Qur'an which permits me for fighting for the country i have my citizenship with?

Please help me and thank you!

Your question is an important one.

Firstly, what do people of the RAF do?

Try maybe researching what they do.

Maybe by visiting a website of theirs or trying to get in contact with someone who has this job.

I think schools would have some careers programs in place for students who like to know about different jobs.

By doing that perhaps you will gain information that the RAF is not there to oppress Muslims or to kill them off.

It is there to defend the people in Britain (who include Muslims) from being killed during unjustified attacks on Britain's civilians by defending the British air space.

It is important to know some information about any career or job before doing it.  Such as knowing if the job will involve things that are acceptable in Islaam or unacceptable in Islaam. 

If you find out more, then there is something you are unsure about in the job description, then you can ask and Inshaa'aLlaah someone can help you. 

There is an important thing for Muslims to know:  "Knowledge before action".
