If any moderator on this forum were "silencing" anyone, you would not have 56 posts!

You mean "left"  :D

I can testify that, even if you are not moderator, you are not silenced in this forum. I have been posting thread, that some people didn’t appreciated. But nobody erased them!

Anyone who is searching for the truth can just do a simple search on the forums and find out how many times I was called names by members of TalkAboutIslam.com. .....  and they are all still out there ....

Being an admin on those forums does not mean that I do not tolerate others..

Yet yes, our forums do have rules that one need to observe...

If you want to do the best thing in your life ever, it would be to become a Muslim, that is, to utter and believe that No one is God but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.

Try it, you will know that it's the best thing you ever did.

Islam now, will be the only reason for saving you from hellfire.

What do you mean by “having the correct belief in the heart” ??

I mean how much of the correct belief does he or she have to have in his heart??

If one really has to know very well every aspect of the Islamic belief, that would require him to take a course prior to saying the two statements of Islam.

This is not what I mean.  It means that a person must have the correct belief in Allah and His Messengers i.e. they must not have beliefs in their heart that contradict Islam.

For example, if a person believes that Jesus is the son of God, it doesn't matter how many times he says his shahadah because he holds a blasphemous belief in his heart.  Allah truly knows that status of ones heart.

So when I say they must have the correct belief in their heart I mean they must know that Allah is the only one who deserves to be worshiped and that Allah does not resemble the creation in any way.  They must know that Prophet Muhammad (son of Abdullah) is the last Messenger and that he was truthful in everything that he conveyed.  Knowing these basic facts does not require one to take a course on Islam.  They are obligated to become muslim immediately once they hear the shahadah in a language they understand (provided they are sain and puberscent) so I would not suggest anything that might result in delaying them from taking their shahadah.
