Abraham's son Ishmael was chosen to lead all to Allah. What relationship in the Koran does the Prophet have with Ishmael?
Brother Muhammed Ali
this is your very first post on TalkAboutIslam.com and I thank you for signing up with us.
Allah says in the Koran: 2: 140
Which might be said to mean:
Or say ye that Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes were Jews or Christians? Say: Do ye know best, or doth Allah? And who is more unjust than he who hideth a testimony which he hath received from Allah? Allah is not unaware of what ye do.
My dear brother,
The Prophet Mouhammad –Sallah Allahu ^alayhi wa ^ala aalihi wa sa
hbihi wa sallam – is actually of the descendants of the prophet Ishmael, brother of Isaac, both sons of the great prophet Abraham.
In more common language : the prophet Mouhammad is the great great grand son of the prophet Ishmael.
