Topic: "Independent Woman" Image

What do the brothers and sisters here think about the "Independent Woman" image, this STRIFE so that us men don't open the doors for you anymore, don't let you have our seat if all others are taken, to give you a slight advantage when we know you're at a disadvantage. Are the sisters here FOR that...maybe not in its entirety, but if they are, to what extent? I'm curious.

allow me just to add one thing: when I used to take the bus here, I would give my seat to ANY old lady, pregnant, woman, or handicapped person, without having the slightest idea about his or her religion (european look or whatever else, equally)

but last time... i saw a woman who was weighty she takes lot of medicaments and i thought she was pregnant. I gave her my seat i said you have pain? and i wanted she feels comfortable...

when i said when the baby gonna come? she answers i am not pregnant i am only weighty i was :stumped  and  :s2

i dont understand why women always want to have this independent woman image i mean it is great if u can stand on your own feet, but i think it is really sweet when brothers give up their seats hold doors etc.
however i have not many brothers have this kind of resepect these days,
(not all) but many just seem to be too into how they look and their cars.

Helping the needy and the sick is integral part of islam…..

People simply do not apply those rules to their lives…. That is all

And this has one meaning : many muslims are far away from the teachings of Islam, and we need to teach them…..

it's good to feel that someone is there for you
helping people in need , and especially the bus thing meant alot to me, because i know  what it feels  when you need a seat very badly and no one would offer it to you  :notme , and i also can figure how nice would that be
