A question about True Islam and Islamic Law
« on: Friday 13 December 2002, 18:20 »
Do True muslims need government to enforce Islamic Law or is Islams devotion to Allah a personal issue without human government enforcement and severe penalties?

Interesting question.

The answer is that the Muslim’s devotion to Allah does not only apply to the person’s own way of living. Muslims do need a Muslim government to enforce penalties and organize their social life.

Life is a big thing, and it does not stop on the personal level.

You will learn from your contact with Muslims that Islam is not just a religion, but a way of life.  Islam has specified rules of conduct for individuals and for government.  In the nature of humanity, it is not sufficient for individuals to attain harmony with the rest without a form of governance.  Therefore in Islamic Shariah, you will learn, has rules for the individual and for the collective.
