how did your first day of fasting go brothers ?

BarakAllaahu feekum for this great piece, it's helped clarify my notes!  

 The fasting person must abstain from taking into his body cavity any material that has a tangible volume from an open inlet, ...The open outlets of the body are like the mouth, nose, anus, vagina, and other.

SubhanAllaah I was trying to explain to someone about this, and they wanted to know what evidence has been used for an 'open inlet'.  The person is asking me if this is based on ahadeeth or ijma^, etc.  Does anyone have anything that I could use to explain to this person?

They are also asthmatic and are somewhat doubtful that an inhaler breaks their fast, despite my having told them that it *does* break the fast but that in this case this is not sinful.  Again is there anything anyone can suggest that I could say to this person, or show them any kind of evidence frm ahadeeth, al-qur'aan, words of scholars, etc, which will prove this to them, i.e that the use of an inhaler breaks the fast?

Ma'sha'Allaah it's hard to explain things to ppl who for so long have believed differently, and then want evidence for whatever u try and teach them  :?

I think you already told them that the inhaler contains spray of liquid. and that if this doesn't break the fast then cigarrets doesn't. it's the same principle every body knows smoking breaks the fast why do they doubt the inhaler?
as for evidence. I don't know any hadiths but I know that Scholars like shafii put these rules. I can bring Resourses if you like.

The Zakah of Fitr is due on every Muslim who is alive part of Ramadan and part of Shawwal. The due Zakah for each is a sa^ or four times the fill of two cupped, average-sized hands of the most common staple food of that country.

According to Abu Hanifa, it is also permissible to pay the equivalent amount of the due Zakah (that is the sa^) by money cash.
