Brothers & sisters in islam i wantted  to know who is Imam Mohammad al-`Asi.Is he sunni or wahabi,etc. Please inform me if u know.

How old is he?

Is he alive?

A good indication to know a person is wahhabi if they go around saying to the people metaphorical Hadeeths while taking the literal meaning. For example, instead of saying "each night Allaah orders an Angel to go down and say ....." they say "Allaah goes down each night..." wal3iyaathu billaah becuse they believe direction applies to Allaah and they believe He is a body.

Also you might know those wahhabis because they think that God sits on the ^Arsh or is above it wal3iyaathu billaah - they follow what their uneducated selves understand from the Verses of the Qur'aan and hence lead people to believe such unbefitting things about Allaah.

Also you might know the wahhabis by them calling a lot of things bid^ah such as using the beads to do tasbeeh or wiping the face after making a supplication.

They also declare as non-Muslim those who ask Allaah for something by the rank of the Prophet. They are so ignorant that they do not even know Prophet Adam did that.

So these are some things which will let you realise someone is wahhabi if you hear that from him.

So it is apparent that this man is from washington DC and is still alive.
