you guys really now how to 'spread the word about shia'.  It's more like your spreading propaganda though.  Shia have Iftar the same time as Sunnis do, at sunset, and anyone who says other than that is a liar or an ignoramus (Shia actually make fun of this claim if someone is late to Iftar, he says mockingly: yeah, I wanted to wait for the star...).

So please stop your lies about Shia, at least they are not afraid to fight Israel like everyone else.

Our brothers are no talking about all shi^a, they are talking about the shi^a who insult our masters Abu Bakr ^alayhi assalam and our master Omar raDiya Allah ^anhu ... and so on ...

you see ? it is not a matter of eating on sunset or on star time or else ... it is not a blasphemy when delaying the break fast ... but it is a big blasphemy when insulting Abu Bakr , this man is mentioned in Qur'an as Prophet companion (Salla Allahu ^alayhi wa sallam), some shi^a insult him and deny his right in khilafa ...

Finally I just wanted to tell you that not all shi^a are alike ...

When we said those things about them , it's not lies.
Let me tell u sthg , i live among shi^a, we have iftar and they wait , when i almost finish my iftar , i hear  their athan ,it's up to u to believe or not , but this is how they behave, and this is what i see every day and hear ...
Today i had an argument with a shi^y in the taxi , u wont believ what he told me , i'm telling u we are saying that out of what we saw and not out of making lies ......

One of the issues against Shia in here is Seeing god:
the shia say god cant be seen according to this ayya:
"La toudrikuhu al-absar" (al an`am -6)
if god can be seen why Moses(pbuh)didnt see?we all know what happened when Moses asked god about this subject.

the 2nd issue is delaying the iftar:
according to this ayya:"Attimou al siyam ila al layle"(albaqarah 187)
it clearly say layl(night) NOT SUNSET(ghouroube)!

there is a story in tartikhe al Tabarry that the prophet(pbuh) said we should wait untill layle(night)come from sunrise side.thats exactly what shia do they iftar not on sunset but when night come from the sunrise side just like the Tabbary(a sunni )said about the prophet.

the question here should be why sunnah iftar on sunset while it clearly says we should wait to the layl like the quran said(layl and ghouroube are 2 diff times)

Correct me If I'm wrong, but wasnt he a JEW that converted after the jews were defeated at the Battle of Khayber (the battle where Abu Bakr and Umar tried but couldnt succeed, so Hazrat Ali A.S. came and crushed the jews).

How is it that he has narrated more than 10,000 hadithes far exceeding the amount that Hazrat Ali A.S., Hazrat Fatima, Hazrat Imam Hassan & Hussain wrote. Who were more close to our Holy Prophet saw, his family or a person that was with him 4 year. 7 AH - 11 AH ?

Doesnt it say in Sahih Boukhari that he altered the words of the Prophet?

During the caliphate of Mu`awiah bin Abi Sufyan (MAY ALLAH REWARD HIS DEADS.and his father)

 Reward Abu Sufyan? The man who fought against our beloved Prophet SAW. In the battle of Uhud, who was leading the infidels against the army of our Holy Prophet saw in which Hazrat Hamzah was killed?

And muawiyah, the wicked son of sufyan( both enemies of Islam), didnt he fight Hazrat Imam Ali A.S. in the battle of siffin which lasted months and killed thousands? Didn't our Holy Prophet Muhammed SAW pray to Allah SWT to never fill his stomach? I have pasted a sunni hadith which verifies that.

The wahabi sect is most definately the fitnah of islam :mad . It is amazing how wahabis have made up the most incredible stories about Shias and passed them on to fellow sunnis by calling themselves sunnis.

I have been told so many stories by sunnis, and they are hilarious. I would like the members of talkaboutislam to please write here what they have been told about shias, and we will see if there is any truth behind it.

So please, write everything u know or think u know about shias here.
