ABU HURAIRAH
« on: Monday 07 October 2002, 23:35 »
Abu Hurairah (MAY ALLAH REWARD HIS DEADS)

Birth and Early Life:

- His name is `Abdul-Rahman bin Sakhr Al-Dausi.

- He was born in Yemen in a poor family. He had no relatives except his mother.

- He grew up as an orphan, who worked for Busrah bint Ghazwan.

- His name before Islam was “`Abd Shams”.

His Conversion to Islam:

- He embraced Islam at the hands of Al-Tufail bin `Amr Al-Dausi and remained with his people (Daus). He immigrated to the Prophet (peace be upon him) in Medina only six years following the Prophet’s Hijrah.

- The Prophet (peace be upon him) named him “``Abdul-Rahman” and often nicknamed him “Abu Hirr”.

- He was nicknamed “Abu Hurairah” because he had a kitten in his childhood, which he used to play with. His mates used to call him “Abu Hurairah.”

His Service of the Prophet:

- Following his conversion to Islam, Abu Hurairah dedicated himself to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

- He invited his mother to embrace Islam and she accepted his invitation, after the Prophet had supplicated Allah for her. Abu Hurairah was a good and obedient son.

- Abu Hurairah resided in Al-Suffah (a place in the Prophet’s Mosque dedicated to accommodate the poor Companions.) He kept the company of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and seldom did he leave him. He memorized many of the Prophet’s Hadiths, especially after the Prophet supplicated Allah for him not to forget knowledge.

- Abu Hurairah memorized more than 1,600 Hadiths. He used to say: “I memorize Hadiths while my bothers of Muhajirin are busy with their trade and my brothers of Ansar are busy with their cultivation.”

His Interest in Knowledge:

- Abu Hurairah was interested in learning and spreading knowledge. He once went to the marketplace of Medina and said to the people: “What is the matter with you? Why do you stay here while the Prophet’s heritage is being distributed in the mosque?” The people went to the mosque and found nothing but men praying, reciting Qur’an, or listening religious lessons. Abu Hurairah said to them: “This is the heritage of the Prophet.”

- When the financial conditions of the Muslims changed to affluence, Abu Hurairah owned a house and furniture and had a wife and children. However, this did not affect his interest in knowledge, his modesty, and his devotion in worship.

His Piety:

- During the caliphate of Mu`awiah bin Abi Sufyan (MAY ALLAH REWARD HIS DEADS.and his father), Abu Hurairah was appointed ruler of Medina. Such position did not affect his piety and righteousness, as he used to fast during the day and offer optional prayers during the night.

- He often said: “I grew up as an orphan, immigrated while being poor and worked for Busrah bint Ghazwan in return for my provision. I was required to serve my employers in their residence and urge their camels forward when they traveled. Then I married Busrah bint Ghazwan, thanks to Allah, Who has made religion a criterion for evaluating men and made Abu Hurairah Imam.”

The Shi'ah are a misguided people - truly lost
« Reply #1 on: Saturday 02 November 2002, 12:39 »
I saw that brilliant thread by "Devoted" entitled "Warning Muslims From Deviants Is A Must! " - I took the initiative to make a thread against the Shi'ah who are by Ijma' a group of deviacy according to all Sunnis. I proceed:

The main stream Shi'ah are a Firqah of Dalalah who are known to refute and negate and deny the Nusous of the Shari'ah. They use their minds over the texts and determine at will what they will accept and what they will reject. It is due to this that they choose to deny almost the entire collections of Bukhari and Muslim. Is anybody going to dare claim that this is not rejecting texts of the Shari'ah?

Did you know that they deny the Ru'yah of Allah while the Believers will be in Jannah? They claim that Ru'yah is impossible as Allah is not a body. Yes, Allah is not a body, but this doesn't make Ru'yah impossible. This is the claim of the Mu'tazilah, who make ta'weel of the Ayahs in Surah al Qiyamah "wujouhun yawma ithin naaDirah, ilaa rabbihaa naathirah" - they claim that Nathirah means Muntathirah. This is the belief of the Mu'tazilah!

May Allah protect us from the deception and inkaarul Nusous of the Shi'ah. Ameen.

Since it is a MUST to refute the people of Bid'ah of Dalalah, then innevitably this would include the Shi'ah. Plenty of people are unknowing about the Shi'ah and some think that they are not a serious problem. So we should let them know.

May Allah reward you brother, for joining us in this great forum, to bid al-Ma^roof, and forbid al-Munkar.

Indeed, we know about shi^a, and that many of them deny the Seeing of Allah in the hereafter.

Brother, you see, Ahlussunnah are the moderate and and righteous followers of the Prophet. They did not exaggerate as Mu^tazillah did, or as the Mu^attila did. Some denied the seeing of Allah in the hereafter, and the others claimed to believe in the seeing of Allah but as a big body residing in a place.. Both beliefs are false and un-Islamic. Ahlussnnah, affirm the seeing of Allah, and they clear Allah from resemeling the creations, so they said: Muslims will see Allah in the hereafter, without a how, Allah will not be in a place, not like the creation is seen. Because our belief is that Allah exists without a place.

I believe that the most dangerous groups, are those who claim to be sunnah, becasue we all know, that those whom are not sunnah, that is not following the teachings of the Prophet, are misguided.

Allah knows best.
