Prophet Muhammad had no lust for women
« on: Saturday 26 October 2002, 05:00 »
:bh1 The West with their cunning ambition to sin and commit adultry, have the audacity to accuse our honorable prophet of indecency. Why?? :dbs1 Only because he married several women at a time and feared Allah in his treatment of them. The West refuse to see the truth of his polygamy as adherance to the order of Allah and a constrictive way to spread Islam and unite people.  :cwt

Whether they chose to see the truth or not  it shall remain that............... .

First the prophets marriages served the purpose of spreading further not only the call to Islam but more appropriately the matters of femininity. This knowledge guided the woman into becoming a virtuous being and developed her into her vital role whether she is a mother, daughter, wife and member of society. These feminine matters are also a part of the Islamic knowledge that should be known and acquired by all Muslims and include matters of menstruation, postpartum bleeding, giving birth and matters of intercourse. Being personal issues as such, the Islamic conditions that apply to women within these situations were effectively spread to the women by women who were the wives of Prophet Muhammad. By this way women were able to make further inquiries from the prophet’s wives and fully understand what was expected of them Islamically without hesitation or unnecessary embarrassment otherwise. This also proves that Islam recognizes the needs of women and takes all necessary measures to facilitate for them, assuring women of their high regard. Isn’t it more appropriate and comforting for women to learn about their personal hygiene and femininity from other women rather than from men?  Hence this knowledge helped women to make meaningful contributions to their family and community. :sis1

Prophet Muhammad had no lust for women

The second purpose behind Prophet Muhammad’s several marriages was the wisdom in forming a unity between the many divided tribes present at the time. Prophet Muhammad’s’ wives were of different tribes. This deliberate factor served the purpose of developing a friendly and peaceful relationship between the estranged tribes that at one time had nothing in common.

Another purpose served by the prophet marrying many wives was to demonstrate the role of the husband and head of the house to his nation. His wives played a vital role in spreading the ideal and gracious treatment and relationship expected from the husbands to their wives. Among other matters they witnessed from the prophet in his home, they also relayed the gracious treatment they received from Prophet Muhammad and the impeccable and pleasant manner he privately displayed in his homes. It should be known that like all Islamic matters, Allah revealed to the prophet through angel Jibril the gracious manner by which he treated his wives. And through the Quran his wives were ordered to spread the news. This is mentioned in Surat Al-Ahzab, Ayah 34, the meaning of which is:

((And make known what is rehearsed to you in your homes, of the verses of Allah and the wisdom.))

SO the evidence put forward leaves no doubt in the reasonable mind that the reasons behind the prophet having more than one wife were for religious purposes indeed, and a compliance with the orders of Allah. By no means did the prophet marry out of lust nor did he marry to satisfy indecent motives.

;-) For such reasons the prophet married his wives......He is still no match in excemplary conduct and nobility :no2  :hearts2  May Allah grant me his vision in the dream...ya habibi ya rasoul Allah  :cwt

How did prophet Muhammad choose them to be his wives??
« Reply #2 on: Saturday 26 October 2002, 05:09 »
Prophet Muhammad married Lady Khaijah fifteen years before receiving the revelation of Prophet hood. Khadija gave the prophet four daughters and two sons. They were; Zainab the eldest daughter, Ruquaya, Umu Kalthoum, Fatima, Al-quassem and Abdullah who later died an infant. All the prophets’ children are from Lady Khadija with the exception of Ibrahim. Apart from this virtue of being the mother of his children, Lady Khadija was the first woman to believe in Islam after the revelation of prophethood. She also was one of the first to tolerate the hardships in the beginning of the mission and the call to Islam with patience. Lady Khadija passed away at the mature age of sixty five and was buried along side her ancestors in Al-Hujun a mountain in Makkah.

Saouda: The noble Lady
« Reply #3 on: Saturday 26 October 2002, 05:12 »
[shadow=#00ffff]After Khadija’s death  :dbs1 the prophet married his second wife in Makkah. She was known as Saouda, and was a widow at the time. Her husband had died in the African land of Habasha, where they both had migrated to spread the word of Islam in the earlier days of the mission. After the prophet married Saouda, she realized that her mature age  :$ had taken the best of her but she wanted to remain his wife simply to maintain the virtues  :apl1 and the prestige gained by being the wife of the prophet. As well she wanted to keep the blessing of being united with him as his wife in the Hereafter. Being at such a mature age Saouda asked the prophet to abstain from her and she gave up her share of time with the prophet to his wife ^Aisha. Saouda later past away in Al-Madina.

^Aisha: the noble Lady
« Reply #4 on: Saturday 26 October 2002, 05:16 »
The prophet had married ^Aisha in Makkah before the immigration to Al-Madina. ^Aisha was the daughter of the prophets’ closest companion Abu-Bakr and her mothers name was Umu Rouman. ^Aisha was only eight years of age when the prophet married her. Marrying at such an early age is not considered shameful amongst the Arabs, rather it was an acceptable and common practice. Lady ^Aisha was a very pious woman with many virtues. She was mentioned in the Quran for her piety and purity after she was unjustly accused by people of committing adultery.

In brief, the incident which opened the way for these accusations, was related to us and understood as follows. Lady ^Aisha had accompanied prophet Muhammad on one of his expeditions. When the march was ordered to resume after a short stop, the caravan proceeded again. Since Lady ^Aisha was still of lightweight the companions didn’t realize that she wasn’t in her concealed tent. Similarly ^Aisha didn’t realize that the caravan had continued its journey. She was held back in the resting-place because of a matter which attracted her attention. Upon returning to the campsite, ^Aisha found that every one had gone. With complete faith in Allah she rested herself nearby expecting that someone would return for her when they realize that she was missing. A companion named Safwan who was on the caravan journey was asked to stay behind to gather any items that may have been left behind. As he was doing just that he came across Lady ^Aisha who was waiting to be rescued. Seeing the wife of his prophet in this situation he gallantly offered her a ride on his camel as he guided the camel on foot to the caravans’ next halt. Witnessing and understanding nothing else besides ^Aisha’s late arrival with the companion Safwan. The deceivers among the travelers took advantage of this opportunity to accuse the prophets’ wife of adultery. This is how lady ^Aisha was accused of allegedly committing adultery.

It is imperative to know and remember that never did ^Aisha nor any other of the prophets’ wives betray the prophet in any way. Our noble Lady  ^Aisha was simply a victim of enemy attack and circumstance. ^Aisha’s innocence was never doubted by the prophet nor by the faithful companions even before her innocence was announced by Allah the Exalted in the Quran. In Surat An-Nour, Ayah 11, the meaning of which is as follows,

((Those who brought forward the lie are a body among yourselves; Do not think of it as an evil to you. On the contrary it is good for you. To every man amongst them will come the punishment of the sin he earned, and to the leader among them will be grievous torture.))
[/i][/u][/b]
[/b]

Lady ^Aisha was the only virgin among the wives of prophet Muhammad and the only wife renown for her beauty and extraordinary intelligence. She holds the status of the greatest female scholar of this nation. Lady ^Aisha was the teacher to many of the prophets’ male and female companions. She was also the one who had the honor of relaying the largest number of ahadith from prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Another distinguished blessing to her is in her proud announcement that the prophet past away in her home leaning on a part of her body. The prophet was buried under her home. At that time her home was adjacent to the Mosque. However after a certain period of time the mosque was extended to suit the growing demand. This placed the home of ^Aisha within the mosque where it can be visited today as the burial of prophet Muhammad.

Lady ^Aisha was only eighteen years of age when the prophet passed away. She continued her life with increasing piety. ^Aisha lived until the caliphate of the companion Ali Ibn Abi Taleb who was the fourth in the line of caliphs starting from her father Abu-Bakr.  After the caliphate of Ali, Lady ^Aisha passed away at the age of 66 years. She was buried in Al-Baqiy^ which is the burial ground in Al-Madina. The prophet praised his wife’s virtuosity upon his nation in sayings such as the one that means:
[size=30]
((The advantage held by ^Aisha over the women of my nation is like the advantage of the favorite food from the other kinds of foods.))

Hafsa: The noble Lady
« Reply #5 on: Saturday 26 October 2002, 05:21 »
:smlv Another wife of the prophet was Hafsa the daughter of the companion Omar bin al-Khatab. The prophet married Hafsa after the battle of Badr. She like the rest of his wives was obedient to Allah the Exalted and exerted her energies to spread the word of Islam. She died in the caliphate of Othman bin ^Afan who was the third caliphate after the death of prophet Muhammad. Three years after the migration to Al-Madina the prophet married Zainab Al-asadia. She was another one of the prophet’s wives who was mentioned in the Quran. Her story describing the circumstances leading up to her sacred marriage to the prophet peace be upon him is referred to in surat Al-Ahzab, Ayah 37.

Zainab: the noble Lady
« Reply #6 on: Saturday 26 October 2002, 05:23 »

:bh1 Some years after the migration to Al-Madina the prophet gave his first cousin Zainab in marriage to Zaid who at the time was the prophet’s adopted son. Prior to his adoption Zaid was a loyal servant to the prophet. His loyalty and piety captured the prophet’s love and care for him, hence the prophet freed him from slavery and adopted him as one of his own children. Zainab being from an honorable and influential tribe and a relative to the prophet had hesitations about her marriage to Zaid who came from a different and less prominent background. However she agreed to be married to Zaid as a sense of duty to the prophets wishes. Unfortunately this marriage wasn’t meant to be a happy long-lasting one. The reality of the two different social backgrounds which Zaid and Zainab came from played a major role in their unhappiness together. Having realized this problem Zaid made continuous complaints to the prophet asking permission to divorce his wife Zainab. In compliance with the good principles of Islam, the prophet continuously advised Zaid to be patient in keeping the marriage and to exercise piety.

Prophet Muhammad had no lust for women
« Reply #7 on: Saturday 26 October 2002, 05:26 »
.............. :sis1  Meanwhile the prophet had been receiving revelations not for public knowledge. These revelations indicated to the prophet, Zainab would eventually become his wife. To avoid any ill thoughts or misleading impressions towards him, the prophet found it hard to publicize these revelations to his followers whilst Zainab was still married to his adopted son Zaid. He was cautious that having to marry Zainab, the less informed people would misinterpret the order of Allah and would see it as Prophet Muhammad is marrying his own daughter in law. Nevertheless the will and order of Allah would always prevail.

:rdg1Eventually the sacred revelations of the prophet’s marriage to Zainab were affirmed in verses of the Quran, as mentioned earlier in Ayah 37 of Surat Al-Ahzab.  :smlv This made it an obligation upon the prophet to publicize the message to his nation. It was made clear in the Quranic verse that Allah summoned the marriage of Prophet Muhammad to Lady Zainab after her divorce from Zaid. Accordingly Lady Zainab found happiness in her sacred marriage to the prophet. Zainab felt honored and privileged over the prophets other wives, in the way her marriage was sealed by Allah the Exalted. This marriage was performed in a way unlike the way the prophet married his other wives when two men witnesses and a guardian on behalf of the bride took part in the marriage ceremony.

[/b]

The prophet’s marriage to Zainab served a further purpose to the reuniting of tribes and to the spreading of Islamic knowledge through the women of Islam. This further purpose was infact an initiative to break the tradition of adoption. Accordingly Zaid was no longer considered as the prophet’s adopted son. He could no longer carry the prophet’s family name nor be entitled to his inheritance as such. Moreover neither was Zainab looked upon as being the prophet’s daughter in law, in which case he would not have been able to marry her. Thus the new judgement which was added to the constitution of Islam, prohibited the law of adoption.

His other wives: the noble Ladies
« Reply #8 on: Saturday 26 October 2002, 05:32 »
:applause2 The prophet’s wives, the mothers of the believers also included women other than the ones we’ve already mentioned.
:sis1 They were, Lady Jouwaria from the tribe known as Al-Mustaliqiyya who died in the year 56 after the migration; and
:sis1 Maria Al-Qubtia who gave prophet Muhammad his son Ibrahim who died an infant. They also included
:sis1 Um Habiba the daughter of Abi Sufyan,
:sis1 Safia from the tribe of Banin-Nodayr,
:sis1 Maymouna from the tribe of Hilal who was the aunt of Abdullah bin ^Abas the prophet’s first cousin, also
:sis1 Fatima the daughter of Sharih,
:sis1 Zainab the daughter of Khazima,
:sis1 Asma’ the daughter of An-na^man from the tribe of Bani Al-joun, and
:sis1 Um Sharik from the tribe of Bani An-anjar.

After we’ve mentioned the story of the prophet’s wives and the circumstances surrounding his marriages to them,

it is clear as crystal to us that our dear prophet was a man of dignity and purity. Be sure that those who try to scandalize his impeccable reputation and spread the wrong rumors about his marriages and the reasons behind them are deserving of Allah’s severe punishment in the hereafter.

Condemning the status of the prophet and his exemplary conduct is indeed an act of blasphemy and those who commit such a horrid act are in fact blasphemers. They condemn themselves to an eternal life in hell fire unless they denounce their bad deeds towards the prophet and return to Islam by professing the two testifications of Islam. That is to say I confess that no one is God but Allah and Muhammad is the prophet of Allah.

YES-Let it be known !!!!
« Reply #9 on: Saturday 26 October 2002, 05:35 »

Let it be known to the authors who attribute to the prophet dishonorable characteristics, let it be known to the preachers who claim themselves to be Muslim- who set themselves to degrade the prophet’s reputation, and let it be known to the women’s movement who claim to fight for the rights of women and their freedom, let it be known to all of these people and others like them that our dear prophet is the most just human in upholding honesty, the most truthful in his word and the best leader who is attributed with nothing but the best of deeds and sayings.

Having demonstrated his exemplary characteristics and his obedient motives in his polygamous relationships, it is imperative to also know that his treatment to all his wives was equal and fair. Even in his role as a husband to many wives prophet Muhammad always exercised piety and utter worship to his Creator Allah the Exalted.

:hearts2 In the end we ask Allah to raise the rank of Prophet Muhammad and protect his nation from that which he fears for it and to bless and raise the rank of his honorable noble wives the mothers of the believers. And Allah knows best.
