Stupid Question
« on: Friday 18 October 2002, 16:10 »
I posted the message below in a newsgroup about Islam after receiving no replies, could you please tell me how I should have phrased the question. It was Insulting and it should have been broadened for a more specific answer. Or tell me how I can find the answer, I only understand English ( badly and I was brought up anti English ) and don't trust the translated versions.
This group has now been Infested by anti Muslim bigots and heathens. I do not wish to add to this.

Sincerely
2nd message first

Am I to conclude by the total lack of response from Muslims who
frequent this group that the answer to my questions are 1.yes 2.yes
3.yes ?

Someone PLEASE correct me this is unbelievable.

I would like to quote the relevant passages from the Holy Koran, but itīs in german and not in english.

That was of course just a short answer, but I think my brothes and sisters here are certainly able to give you a satisfying answer.

Stupid Question
« Reply #4 on: Friday 18 October 2002, 23:36 »
Talking about violence, I would like to mention to our friend Venom that our beloved prophet of islam was beaten up and ill-treated in many ways for more than 12 years when he was in Mekka.....

That remained to be so, the prophet persecuted and ill-treated, beaten up and insulted, till the prophet was ordered with the muslims to immigrate to Madina, a city that was then called yathrib....

For 13 years our prophet was beaten up in Mekka, and he did not have the right, neither the muslims, to carry swords and fight back.... That use of Violence was not allowed ....

The prophet and the muslims were ordered to be patient, and to tolerate..

That is an example to follow.... and that is a lesson to learn : Violence is not always the solution...

Now I understand , your immediate question venom would be : but is Violence in islam something recommended ???

I would say, we understand that it is unavoidable at times and under certain conditions to resolute to violent solutions .... Peace and Diplomatic solutions can not be ALWAYS the answer..

and allow me to ask you Venom here a question... :

in your opinion, sincerely and honestly, where did the talks of Mr. Arafat get him after more than 10 years of negotiating and backing down ???

Tell me VERY sincerely ..... how you see that please.

I am sorry, i understand this could be derouting a bit ..

let us go back ....

Where did Arafat end up after discussing and negotiating for ten years..... ????

what is real funny, it that then, in Madrid, Perez declared that all he needed was 10 years of negotiation to construct colonies all around Al Qods, and outcome the negotiations.......  but Arafat apprently was not tuned to the same TV Channel then....

Hello Venom,

I would first of all like to thank you for coming to the right place to ask your question.  Here at TalkAboutIslam, you will find the correct belief of Muslims, the teachings of Prophet Mohammad, and reliable knowledge.

I will answer your question, seeming that you are open-minded and accepting and trust that you will not argue my answer.

It is FORBIDDEN to beat a person unjustly.
However if someone was hit by another, then that person has the right to hit back with the same type of hit and force.  However in such a case, it is more rewardable to posess high manners and forgive that person.

So It is forbidden to betray someone even blasphemers, such as to kill him after promising them safety.  So from this we know that we cannot be violent towards capatilist countries because when a Muslim enters that country they were trusted by the government of that country  and therefor we cannot betray their trust.  We cannot deceive them or backstab them with horrid actions like the events of September 11th.

Even in war against blasphemers (which can only be ordered by a Caliph that rules all the Muslims in the world---there is none these days), we cannot harm women, children, elderlee, buildings, plants such as trees, animals, nevertheless the innocent civilians.

In Islam, we are strongly advised to have good manners which constitutes two crucial matters:
1. Not harming others, and
2.  Being patient when others harm us.

We must treat others the way we like to be treated.   Most of like to be treated with honour and respect, and to have others forgive us when we err.

If you look around the forum, especially in the Making Friends Forum  :lia, you will see the love :ho1  and respect that goes around and how even the Non-Muslims are welcomed :apl1 .
