No its not wrong to give id .Just relax. you have asked people now use your mind and heart to take decision. If you think it can annoy GOD then don't do it. GOD is really merciful.

It is true that certain instruments we should not listen to, but we have to understand the judgment of it better.

Listening to songs with music is a minor sin. It can be easily erased by good deeds, like reading quran, like doing a good deed to your mother or father and so on.

So, we are advised not to make a big deal when our friends or children listen to music so we do not push them away from Islam. We have to understand the society they are living in and having to do the obligatory is more important than forbid them from listening to some songs on TV or radio or MP3.

As long as the words are not blasphemy or prohibited words or implications (like lies, talking about dying for someone, sexual suggestions...etc.) you may sing the songs or listen to them with the beat of the drums Tambourine for example or without musical instruments.

There is a clear cut guidelines for all Muslims about listening any kind of Music in Quran and Hadith. I don't know who is Sami Yousuf and what are his instrument for composing layers of song.
