Assalaamu Alaikum

What I want to know is if u enter the muesalla and they have already started salat, how do u join in.  do u start where they are or do u start from the beginning and basically pray by yourself or what.  What is the religious rulings on joining salah.:confused:

I hope my answer is what you need brother. If you enter the Musalla and they are already praying, you start with them, and follow them, when they finish praying, you stand up and continue. For example, if you started with them, and they are on the 2nd Rak^aa, (and you are praying THohor, for example), you stand up after they finish, and you continue praying alone the rest of the Rak^aat (the other 2).

Brother, if you get into a mosque and you see them praying. You pray with them and then you continue your prayer after they finish. However, you must catch a Rak'a with them in order to have 1 Rak'a counted. meaning, if you come to the mosque and see them in the state of Sujud and you enter Salat and make Sujud with them... that Rak'a was not counted for you. The first Rak'a counted for you is the one you made Ruku' in. i hope what i wrote was english beacuse i have the feeling that it makes no sense.
