A question!

Salam Alaikom

I'll get straight to the question:

Why did Abu Bakir and Umar wish te be burried close to the prophet's grave?

Welcome brother,

They did wish to be close to the Prophet, may peace be upon him, to seek the blessing from him after they die too.

Thank you brother.

Do all muslims agree on this?

What is the answer of those who claim that Mohammed P is dead and we do not benefit from him no more?

you're welcome.

As for your second question,

Yes, we can still benifit from the Prophet, may peace be upon him, even after his death. And there is NO narration against that, none of the scholars had said something against that, none of them said that the Prophet doesn't benifit us after his death, NONE OF THEM DID.

A very simple answer to this, read what happened in the night of Isra' and Mi^raj (The Night Journey and Ascension of Prophet Muhamad, may peace be upon him):

At first, Allah obligated fifty prayers. When Prophet Muhammad encountered Musa, Musa told him to make supplication (du^a') to his Lord to ease the obligation of fifty (50) prayers, because his nation could not handle that. Musa said, "I have experience with the people of Israel, and I know your nation cannot bear that." So the Prophet asked his Lord to lessen these prayers for his people. Five prayers were eliminated. Once again, Musa told the Prophet to ask Allah to lessen the number of prayers. Allah did. Nine times the Prophet made supplication to Allah to lessen these prayers--until these prayers were lessened to five Obligatory Prayers. So Prophet Musa was a great benefit to us. Had we been obligated to pray fifty prayers a day, this would have been a difficult matter for us.

This is a big benifit that we had from Prophet Moses, many many many years AFTER HIS DEATH.

That's just a simple and very clear answer, again, none of the scholars had said that the Prophets do not benifit us after their death.  :no2

Salam Alaikom

I would like to mention that there is an authentic tradition where Mohammad P says that he will be praying for us in his grave.

:)

Wa alaykom assalam,

This is not a tradition, it's a Hadith narrated by Asouyoutiyy, and others.

However, it's not what you said, you just gave the meaning :-) that the Prophet make supplication for us. It's true, I wanted to clarify that it's a Hadith not a "authentic tradition" !

The point of my previous post is getting the BENIFIT from the PROPHET, after his death ;-)

assalam alaikom

could you please clarify to me why it's not an authentic tradition?

I've checked the Isnad of it and it seems alright regarding the ijtihad and sayings of many scholars dear brother.

also if you can please tell me what's the difference b/w a hadith and a tradition.

may Allah Bless you.

Benefit from the prophet (saw)?
« Reply #7 on: Monday 29 April 2002, 05:02 »
Of course we can benefit from what Mohammad SAW said, taught and practised, but not, as some mushreks think, from any part of his body or from his grave.

Was it not Omar who said when people gathered soon after the death of Mohammad SAW that 'if you have come to see Mohammad, he is dead and gone but if you have come to see Islam, it is here for ever'.

Watch out for the opportunists who slur other Muslims.

YOU are the mushrik !!!! you BAAZ, you are the wahhabi mushrik!!

You are calling the prophet himself a mushrik, but you are too ignorant to know.

may Allah damn you for trying to spread your abhorent doctrine on this forum!!!!

the prophet himself after the pilgrimage of Wadaa gave His blessed Hair to his companion Aboul Darda2 and he said:

إقسمه بين الناس

which means, distribute it among people .....

Why did the prophet order his companion to distribute the Hairs of the prophet among his companions ????????

Tell me about any other use of the hair of the prophet, if it is not for seeking blessing !!!!!!

This is what the prophet himself did, and you with your ignorance, you called the prophet a mushrik and a teacher of Shirk (blasphemy)

may Allah damn you!

the prophet is THE TEACHER OF ISLAM, and you are the wahhabi blasphemer mushrik !!!
