Debate on celebrating 12th Rabi Ul Awwal (Eid Milad Un Nabi SAW)

I want to ask all of you members about the celebrations of 12th Rabi Ul Awwal (Eid Milad Un Nabi SAW), Is it right to celebrate this day as birthday of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. I have read blog post regarding proves of this celebration in Islamic History............ ................... ..Discuss your opinion here on this forum.
