Dear Youth generation
Head to the Mosques
Dear Youth generation, wherever you are in the Islamic and Muslims countries;
Dear intellectuals and specialists and pioneers;
Dear promoters for changes and development and reform;
When I developed a strategy to make the mosque as a platform for the development of all local self-services, in those local communities, in all Muslim nations countries;
When I launched my appeal for making the mosque the base for all religious, educational and social activities, which in turn drives and pushes economic and social development of local communities toward improving the quality of life in the local Islamic communities.
I did not mention at that time simple arrangements a Muslim needs to commit to and take in consideration when he is preparing to go to the mosque; which includes:
Purification of the body if it is required.
Ablution /Ghusul: if he did not perform it.
Wearing the appropriate clothes to the mosque.
Inviting friends or neighbors if it’s possible.
Obtaining necessary knowledge of how to perform the prayers before performing them.
Directing intentions to Almighty ALLAH, that He guides him to an acceptable performance of his prayers.
Directing the intentions to Almighty ALLAH, and hope to guide him to the best behaviors and ethics.
Walk to the mosque with tranquil and dignity.
Enter the mosque with humility and submission to Almighty ALLAH.
Greet Muslims in the mosque by saying Assalamu-Alaykum to them.
Sitting in the row closest to the Imam, whenever it is possible.
Handshaking people’s hands in the row he is in.
Introduce himself to those around him by telling his name and surname and place of residence in the neighborhood.
Interact with those around him in the mosque in a great manner.
Occupying himself with tasbeeh (subhanna Allah) and alike until the time of the prayer.
Talking about subjects which are beneficial to other Muslims around him, with a clear voice and humbleness.
Respecting the views of others and expressing compassion and affection to them.
Refraining from answering religion questions which he is not qualified to answer.
Get to know the people who work in the mosque and neighborhood services and take initiatives to remember their names.
Knowledge of the principles of Islam:
If e is one of those who are newly visitors of the mosque, then he has to:
First: to know the five pillars of Islam:
1 – The two Testifications of Faith (shahadatan).
2 – Prayer.
3 – Fasting.
4 – Zakat.
5 – Hajj (Pilgrimage).
Second: Knowing the six pillars of faith:
1 – Proper Belief in Almighty ALLAH .
2 - Belief in the Angels.
3 - Belief in the Holy books which ALLAH revealed to His messengers.
4 - Belief in all messengers of Allah peace be upon them.
5 - Belief in the Day of Judgment.
6 – Believing in Fate and destiny, good and bad are from Almighty ALLAH.
I gained lots of experiences from contacting many people, educated, specialists and the youth, and many who are considered to be the silent majority of the Muslim nation. I had a close associated with them for many years in the mosques, and I noticed that the majority of them do not have the full knowledge in regards to the integrals of pillars of Islam and the rules of performing the worship acts such as praying and fasting and Zakah and Pilgrimage.
It was clear to me that many of them avoid going to the mosque because they feel inadequate about the knowledge of the matters of their religion, and to avoid embarrassments when they find themselves less knowledgeable about their religion than those who are uneducated. And for unknown reasons the institutions which are responsible of the mosques in all the Islamic countries does not take on this educational role, therefore which therefore resulted in the great silen majority who are gravely ignorant in the basic acts and rules of worship
