i am a Woman engineer travelling to the USA to stay and work with a female colleague for 6
months. i have worked very hard for this oppurtunity and my age is 24 years.Should I go?

For good purpose? Yes, of course. Bring light to Islam. You are an asset to Muslim Society and we need to encourage our women. My daughter is an Engineer working with American colleagues. Everybody knows that she is a Muslim and nobody dares ask her out.

Jazakallah for your replies. What I and my family were worried about is the issue of facing problems while getting marriage proposals and safety concerns.
Would these really be a problem??

Safety is always a concern,Insch'Allah. Marriage proposals are never a problem,it is only how we react to marriage proposals that problems may arise, Are you that desirable that you foresee many marriage proposals LOL.

You have to be very cautious and do not fall into traps. The new ones are the ones who get trapped. Never ever tell your socuial security No to anyone. But do not be afraid. We have 911 service available 24/7 here.

I did not intend to stay back in the USA.I had an experience with someone's family not wanting a daughter in law who had stayed alone in the states.

People will  say thousand things against you but your Allah knows you. Keep moving forward. In USA men and women work together. My daughter stayed alone for education for 4 years.,went to college and came straight home,with her eyes down; involved herslf with Islamic Students group and had Muslim girl friends. But still unmarried. Nobody appreciates what she has achieved.
