Do animals go to Heaven?

salaam brothers adn sisters,
 
as u may or not know i am a huge animal lover, and like many of u ( I hope so   ;D ;D  ) Please tell me that animals go to heaven. I cannot bear the sufferings they encounter on this earth. I know that Allah said that the justice will be done to them, but there is a verse that Allah will turn them into dust.
Do they still go to heaven?

As far as I am aware when the animals are judged and then are turned to dust, that's it. They will not go to heaven. Only man and jinn.

Hm... i think animal didn't go to paradise or to hell either.

what done is done... any living thing counter suffering in earth doesn't mean it will go to paradise. animal understand this order given by Allah. that they live, died and perish..

Justice will be done.. people's who done bad thing to animal will be punish. i think many Muslim may recall a story about Muslim lady with his cat. the lady are sent to hell because she leaving the cat died in cage without food and water to live.

but i feel glad... not a single animal where sent to hell. even a pig which Muslim consider dirty. animal just another Allah creation and they never been burden with responsibility... sometime i do wonder who actually the lucky one the animal or man..(if hell is our destination).

Hello, I am mostly a lurker. But I would like to know the verse in the Koran about the cat & any other verses that is supportive of animals, most especially dogs. I travel with a service dog. I get a lot of negativity from many muslims. I would like to have some of those verses on hand to give them when I meet up with this situation. Hi Emilee. I share your love of animals. Thank you.

welcome to the forums!
as for your question, I dont believe you should recieve negativity from muslims.
 
As far as dogs are concerned, I am not knowledgable enough to tell you the verse from the Qur'an, but I do know that ( from the prophet Mohammad sallalahu alayhi^wa salaam)'s sunna ( example of his teachings, and life) that dogs can be owned in some circumstances.

Hello, Emilee, I am so happy to meet a Muslim animal lover. Thank you for the article. I have printed it out & will copy it & carry it with me to hand out. If you find any more articles on Muslims & dogs, I would appreciate having them. I go to a Muslim restaurant where we often have discussions. I will also share it with them. Yes I have a lot of problems with muslims and my service dog. Last month, I could not get to a family dinner celebration in Los Angeles because 3 cab drivers refused to take me with my service dog. This violates the federal ADA law, the Americans for Disabilities Act. This is one instance of many.  I think having these articles & especially if I could get related quotes from the Qur'an, it would be very helpful to me and educational to the Muslim people I meet. Thanks again

Look it's real simple. dogs are allowed if they are used for guarding livestock and for hunting. All black dogs must be killed. Perhaps yuor service dog is alllowable as it is used to guard you(live stock).  you should consult with a learned scholar of Islam to get a valid opinion on this matter.

hello curioustraveller, I have discussed this with the Imam of the largest San Diego Mosque. He doesn't agree with anything you are saying. On what do you base your statement?
