Is it okay to say a small prayer after a Salaat?

Is it okay to say a small prayer after a Salaat?

I am trying to say Salaat the best I can, however when I am done I tend to stay down on hands and knees with head to ground and ask that ALL_H will help me separate truth from lies.  That he helps me have strength to do the Wright even if I am prosecuted for it.

Finally, I will thank him for his help so far, and say I love him and praise him.

I believe this comes from way I was brought up to pray.  I just do not feel it is finished with out this.

Is this okay in the eyes of Islam?  On the other hand, did I just destroy Salaat?

no you did not break your salat. but don't prosternate except in a salat. if you would like to, make a special new sunna salat for that.

I have never understood why people make a prayer AFTER Salat. Salat is prayer in itself. In Salat you should pray for what you want, your needs, or anything which you have mentioned. That is like being present in front of God and doing the acts which he request, and made obligatory, but then making some prayers...as if you forgot something.
You should make a habit, to pray within your Salat, understand what you are saying. Similarly, raising you hands after praying does no justification to Salat....becuase you just prayed.

I understand, because I also don't understand Arabic. But i have memorized the meaning of Salat in my language, so then i can feel what i am saying. Furthermore, Allah has stated that dont read the Quranic verses in Sajdah (prostration) because that is a state of humility and you beg to God. So use the Sajdah to pray in your own language...there is nothing that stope you. I know some Mullah are not encourage of that, but what an insult it can be to God, to 'pray' to God, and then pray in your own language because you never understood what you said- but remember its the same God your praying to.
I hope you know what I mean- Religion is not as complicated as some of the Mullah's make it. Actually the Quran states, ' we have not taught you anything that contradicts the logic'

Can someone please confirm we are allowed to make du^a a language other than arabic in our prostration as stated above? I was under the impression that one may only recite in arabic whilst in salaat?

Well there is obligatory parts which we have to read in arabic in Salat (hence the name Salat as it is as shown to us by our beloved prophet). But in the Salat in prostration we make Dua (a prayer) and that can be in your language. The answer is in the Quran....there is nothing that contradicts logic in Islam!

And also i think other then just confirming this on the website- do a search yourself...somethin g today's muslim's lack as they go running to the mullah's or other people. I mean you should but do some research and state "this is what i have understood...is it correct?"...
