Is White wine vinegar halal or haraam? Since it is dissolved in the process and turns completely into vinegar, is it still haraam? There are plenty of foods that contain it and I am just wondering is it hallal. Allah bless you for your kind answers. Ema

the answer is Yes, all vinegar is Halal. Every vinegar is a wine that at some point turned sour.....

so be it white wine vinegar, red wine, apple wine, or whatever else..... as long as it is vinegar, it is Halal Food.

you are giving your own opinion as an islamic rule, which is totally wrong.

The prophet said that he and the prophets before him appreciated vinegar.

عن جابر بن عبد الله رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سأل أهله الإدام، فقالوا: ما عندنا إلا الخل. فدعا به، فجعل يأكل به ويقول: (نعم الإدام الخل، نعم الإدام الخل). وفي رواية: قال جابر: أخذ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بيدي ذات يوم إلى منزله فأخرج إليه فلقاً من خبز فقال: ما من أدم؟ فقالوا: لا، إلا شيء من خل، قال: (فإن الخل نعم الإدم) قال جابر: فما زلت أحب الخل منذ سمعتها من نبي الله .

وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: نعم الأدم، أو، الإدام الخل. رواه مسلم.

وعن أم سعيد رضي الله عنها عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: (اللهم بارك في الخل فإنه كان إدام الأنبياء قبلي ولم يفتقر بيت فيه خل) رواه ابن ماجة.

Sir,

1. that was not Koran but Hadith well narrated that the prophet very much appreciated Vinegar.

2. Vinegar is very commonly used in muslim countries and there is no other way of making it without passing by the alcohol-rich version , call it wine if you wish

Wine is a sweet juice mostly from grapes with or without other fruits juices or flavors. Wine contains one specific type of alcohol called Ethanol ......  (about 10-15%) and thus drinking wine gets you drunk. it has a sweet taste, convert brothers say.

Vinegar is wine that continued its transformation to the end, thus consuming 100% of the alcohol and becoming totally alcohol-free and sour in taste. Even if you drink a ton of vinegar, it won't get you drunk.. because it is free of any ethanol.
