Problem Solving...
« on: Wednesday 24 September 2008, 11:44 »
Problem solving is to work at the roots of a problem. When a problem
comes up we usually try to work at removing the problem at hand by
trying various methods based on the understanding we have.
We don't go deep into the actual cause of the
problem and so find it repeating again and again. Unless we
understand the root cause of the problem we will not be able to get
rid of it fully. The trick to problem solving is to go to the root,
i.e. to find the actual cause. When we find and work at removing
the actual cause of the problem we will never find it repeating.
For example, if the actual problem might be inability to finish everything
in time, the cause behind might not be lack of sufficient time, but my own
carelessness.

True...

but it takes a lot of humility to be able to see yourself as the weak link in the chain........

it is soooooooo easy to blame someone else for the failures.

Today I met a guy who during the first five minutes of our chat told me that he was fired from his last job... I was surprised how straightforward he said that......  I asked him how and why and he replied:

my direct boss killed by accident a server that managed hundreds of other servers...  As he could not admit the error, he put it on my back as I was just doing an apprenticeship..... . it is so easy to say the newbie did that!!!

To tell the truth, I'm envy with you brother and sister who have very good work habit. I wonder how to strengthen this particular habit....... It's so hard for me.... It's like that I never done anything on-time...

put easy objectives for you..... and then make one step up the ladder at a time.

Start by promising yourself you will brush your teeth everyday at 23:00, and at 23:30 you would be in bed.

You get the  idea: discipline does not come overnight.

think of it islamically: you tell your kids to start fasting at the age of 6.

After 3 Ramadans, at the age of 9, you tell them it is important to fast and you show them how important it is.

After 3 more Ramadans, they become adult, and then it is their responsiblity to fast....... not up to you to remind them.....

you see? progressive...

mashAllah that is true. It reminds me sort of of a depression, when we want to feel undepressed, we have to go the root of the problem.
Its like pulling out weeds. - you need to pull the root, not the leaves out because it will keep growing .
But sometimes it is difficult to figure out the root of the problem especially if the issue hasnt been touched upon for a long time, but sort of kept in yourself.
may Allah help us find our true causes to issues and solve them inshAllah

Yes,that is true. Sometimes I look back at my life and see,how good the life was. I feel helpless when it is not my fault and still I cannot prove it.  It is caused by living within 4 walls where  one is protected and cared for. I never learnt to fight because there was no need for it. Everything was so fair and just. But the world outside 4 walls is so different. People do not want to help.Thety want to stay away from the people who need just guidance to restart their lives. My experience is that people are  very selfish. Religon has become a lip service only.
