Topic: Du'a of the day...

[Ummkulthum]

 

And when My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I respond to the dua (prayer) of every suppliant when they calleth on Me
{Quran 2:186}

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِى عَنِّى فَإِنِّى قَرِيبٌ‌ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعۡوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ‌ۖ فَلۡيَسۡتَجِيبُواْ لِى وَلۡيُؤۡمِنُواْ بِى لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡشُدُونَ

رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنۡيَا حَسَنَةً۬ وَفِى ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً۬ وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ -

Our Lord! Give unto us in the world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and guard us from the doom of Fire. {Qur'an 2: 201}

Oh God.........
we trust You, we believe in You and we call upon You for help, so please help us.

[Ummkulthum]

رَبَّنَآ أَفۡرِغۡ عَلَيۡنَا صَبۡرً۬ا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسۡلِمِينَ  -
 
Our Lord! Pour out on us patience and constancy, and make us die as those who have surrendered themselves unto You. {Qur'an 7:126}

[Ummkulthum]

رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذۡنَآ إِن نَّسِينَآ أَوۡ أَخۡطَأۡنَا‌ۚ 
-Our Lord! Take us not to task if we forget or fall into error. {Qur'an 2:286}

رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحۡمِلۡ عَلَيۡنَآ إِصۡرً۬ا كَمَا حَمَلۡتَهُ ۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِنَا‌ۚ -
Our Lord! Lay not upon us such a burden as You did lay upon those before us. {Qur'an 2:286}

رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلۡنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِۦ‌ۖ وَٱعۡفُ عَنَّا وَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَٱرۡحَمۡنَآ‌ۚ أَنتَ مَوۡلَٮٰنَا فَٱنصُرۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡڪَـٰفِرِينَ -
Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear, grant us forgiveness and have mercy on us. You are our Protector. Help us against those who deny the truth. {Qur'an 2:286}

Oh Allah! I do not know of all the challenges my brothers and sisters are facing, but You know everything! I hear their silence, You hear their plead! I see them laughing/smiling, but You see their tears...I see when they give, but You see what has been taken away from them. I may see them fine in appearance from the outside, but You see the scars in their souls. I experience their faith, You know their doubts. I ask that You protect them, forgive them, bless and have mercy on them, and grant them Your Paradise...Ameen...

رَبَّنَآ أَتۡمِمۡ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَآ‌ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ ڪُلِّ شَىۡءٍ۬ قَدِيرٌ۬ -
 
Our Lord! Perfect our light for us and forgive us our sins, for verily You have power over all things. {Qur'an 66:8}

what is the "light" here ?

[Ummkulthum]

رَبَّنَآ أَتۡمِمۡ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَآ‌ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ ڪُلِّ شَىۡءٍ۬ قَدِيرٌ۬ - Our Lord! Perfect our light for us and forgive us our sins, for verily You have power over all things. {Qur'an 66:8}

what is the "light" here ?

We believe that after the reckoning and weighing, people will pass over the bridge known as "as-Sirat" set across the Hell-Fire. On the bridge of Siraat the believers will see 'Nur' celestial light infront of them as well as on their right hand side. When they will see the 'nur' celestial light of the munafiqs had disappeared they will recite this dua. This 'nur' celestial light will be in proportion to a persons actions.

Therefore we make this du'a for Allah to grant us complete celestial light, inshaAllah!
