As part of my coursework in uni, i have been asked to collect views on faith schools, and i would really appreciate it if you could all give me a little insight as to what you guys think about it inshaAllah.

I need to know what people think are the benefits of faith schools, in the present time, would you send your child to a faith school (e.g. madrasahs)? If so, why? If not, what are the reasons and how do you think faith schools can improve on such reasons?

if I may give a short answer: YES, the spiritual dimension in one's life is one of utmost importance, and such faith schools can and do provide that deep insight into one's self and world.

YES, faith must be an important part of a child's education. That is how I see parenting.

Arabic is my mother tongue.

and yes, search a bit on our forums and you would see that there are many many threads that teach you arabic , and for freeeeeee

MashaAllah! You are very lucky indeed! Alhamdulillah! Having been living in UK, i must say that no matter how many courses you do, it is not that easy to acquire the language without being exposed to the language itself...i wish to live in an arab country one day...to be able to speak and understand this language one day myself inshaAllah so that i can understand the Qur'an better!

Please make du'a that Allah grants me the means to learn this beautiful language and that He guides me to that which is best for me inshaAllah.

you are so kind to make a great blessing out of my hardships.

Being born and having lived in an arabic country is not so much of a blessing at an era where being an arab automatically supposes you are a potential terrorist.

Being an arab is not so great at an era where everybody passes normally through the airports checks, except the tall brown guy .... who must be searched and researched over and over
